How do bards fight?

I have absolutely no idea about bard mechanics. Can I get some explanation on how bards normally do fights?

Just copy pasting fights would be good enough.

Usually my combat goes something like this:
-lullabye, or ewave if there's more than one critter
-ambush head with sonic hammer or fusion naginata
or multi-strike

done.

I have a fairly traditional sword and board gnomish bard - not very trendy I know. Because she really can't take a hit, she ewaves or lullabyes everything and then finishes 'em off with her falchion with the help of her animated broadsword. Between the sonic flares and having two separate weapons attacks (no round time with the animated weapon!), they usually never get to stand up again. If they do, more ewave. Sometimes she blows up their weapon too when the mood strikes her. With living critters, she can uphunt almost 10 trains without getting into too much trouble. Undead, particularly casting undead, are a lot more challenging.

Bards are the most versatile profession in the game. You can do just about anything you want with them.

Enter room, fire bow at left eye, search critter. Rinse and repeat as needed.

For serious bards can use just about any weapon style with no problems. Between ewave, lullabye, and vibration chant controlling crowds will never be an issue. Pick your favorite toy or try out a few with sonic weapons! Get bored with weapons fixskill into a pure build and enjoy a spell with power from the days before the nerf bat.

Yeah, bards are very versatile, from pure to TWC brawling. Practically any hunting or combat style you want to try can succeed at one level or another.
