Has anyone actually had personal, documented proof that temporary padding degrades? No anecdotes or FOAF (Friend of a Friend) stories, please. If so, how fast does it happen on a set that's "fresh" and has "incredible" charges?

had some Temp VHCP Brig I found in a warcamp... wore it for about a month and when I noticed it I was getting stunned more. I had it assessed again and it then assessed as Lightly crit padding so yes it degrades I heard a rumor that they have some temp that keeps the amount of padding the whole way thru... I haven't found this . The brig was incredible amount

Sounds like a job for a warrior, a Shield/Brawl Haste wizard, and a LOT of spare time.

Merchant released stuff has the weighting/padding level stay the same, while the charges decreases.
For example, those exploding armors with the temp padding, or the temp weighting on bows given at WoE.
Never messed with the new treasure system stuff, but it wouldn't surprise me if charges and level change with use. Probably how they got exceptional items approved for released in the first place.

I've been using the same set of mbp for about 9 levels and it still says incredible amount, still assesses at vhcp.
