Um, what should I do with my fixskills... vote now!

Voted drop thrown for ranged because I can't imagine a non-lockpicking Gib, and because thrown in its current implementation is bad and dumb.

Post current skills, so we can get a feel for where you're at first?

A year is a long time. Would suck to blast your fix skill now and be stuck until May (Or out of pocket)

Like you all don't know my build... lol, I'm logged into Shattered... playing with my fletch script, but... off the top of my head....

3x dodge, 3x pick, 3x disarm
2x edged, 2x thrown, 2x ambush, 2x CM, 2x perception,
186 PF ranks (will drop to 135 if I drop thrown for ranged, and re-work that up.)
1x shield, pickpocket
5 ranks MOC
AS/MIU/HP, about 31, 33, and 46.
20 EMC, 20 SMC
enough climb and swim.

25 spell ranks, and about 2/3 the MTPs saved for my 26th.

Didn't see a taco option, not sure this poll is legit.

Personally, I'd hold onto it. You're already viable, and the things that you're at least anecdotally known for are picking and thrown weapons. I'd hang onto those unless you have a burning desire to try something else. Wait until next year, 5 days before the fixskills, and have some fun with it. Fixskill to swinging a claidh or something. Go nuts with spells and hunt primarily with e-blast. But for now, there's no real reason to use it. If DEV comes out with something, you're in great shape to take advantage if you want to.

I vote that you should fixskill to 2x brawling in case the development team gets monks done.

drop edged and go just thrown!!

Drop Edged and just hunt with 409/415! It'll be about as effective!

It is pretty cool how you make such good use out of all the thrown weapons you use, I would say keep that. What kind of armor do you wear? Maybe pick up heavy armor in exchange for some of the mana control.

I'm pretty sure gib is trained for full plate, but remember him talking about at some point casting in hauberk.

Full plate currently, yes. more armor ranks will downgrade me to MBP, (and the ability to cast in it.) The control ranks are VERY important to me. Sending to wizards/empaths makes getting spells really easy. General opinion seems to be, either I save the fixskills... or burn in hell. Maybe I'll take the advice of the masses.

What armor skill did you learn, Gib?

Thrown review isn't going to happen this year. Unless you have significant toys, as in a bando or returner, I would switch it to ranged. I assume you have a nice thrown weapon, so IF you switch to ranged do not go buy some 6x sephwir bow that will run you 30+mil. You simply do not need it at cap to hit your targets. Get yourself a plain or fusion 4-7x, save yourself from needing to sell off your toys in case a point in time comes that you want to return to hurling or it actually gets fixed.

Having said that, ranged and thrown both give you nearly the same thing and that is the ability to hit things that melee DS interferes with. It's similar enough, assuming you have high end thrown gear, that switching likely won't generate much excitement for you. I'd consider veering wildly away from your current build if you are looking for a change of pace to create more interest/fun. Polearms or work toward adding 2x brawl/TWC and ambush with dual katars...etc.

The safest bet is to save it til March or April just to cover your ass.

What armor skill did you learn, Gib?

Plate rules, and armored stealth gives 0 bonus to plate. Intuitive logic has now answered your question.
