misty grey vultite claidhmore 4x new style claid, 30pts of weighting 6lbs

You carefully inspect your grey vultite claidhmore.

After a careful inspection you determine that a misty grey vultite claidhmore requires skill in twohanded weapons to use effectively.

It looks like this item has been mainly crafted out of vultite.

Is that the white shaalk claidhmore?

Khastle

I'm not sure, but I was told it used to be an old style, so it's very possible.

So basically someone found a way to devalue it more, who would have thought that was possible

Yeah, someone converted it into a newstyle heh.

Yeah, someone converted it into a newstyle heh.

If it was converted to newstyle wouldn't that bump it up to the full 40 points? And I would like to know the dumbass that converted it, hehe.

Highly unlikely that conversion would change the weighting. An assessment by a competent THW using warrior would answer whether or not it's that claid.

Risky says, "Checking out the claidhmore, it looks like it is less effective than a normal claidhmore, resulting in it being noticeably diminished in its ability to inflict critical wounds. You note that the claidhmore is still expertly weighted compared to normal weapons."

4x exceptionally crit weighted? I'd say so, a 4x HCW axe goes for about that

It's expertly weighted - +30 points. A normal claid is fantastic, with +40 points. It's an awesome weapon and worth well over 10m.

Yeah it's worth more then 10 mil. But if it was left alone and not converted it would have been a +10 two handed sword based with 30 points of weighting making it way more valuable. Plus add value to the Shaalk name too.

Im so confused isnt the dmg factor on old claids a bunch better than the new ones? why would someone change it? spite?

This isn't necessarily "my" white shaalk claid. I remember someone else having another 30 point one shortly after that. I think Rogane may have had it at one point.. This may be that one.

Old claids were greatsword based. They had a penalty of -10 to AS. New style claids don't have that AS penalty but they have their own base now with has a lower AvD.

In all likely hood this is the one that I had. I bought it as a vultite claidhmore and am about 90% positive that it used to be the shaalk claidhmore, but I have no proof and what not. I think I sold this for 35m or so. If I had anyone still using THW, I'd be bidding. It is for sure worth a ton more than 12m.

I don't want to dig up the thread and get all sentimental, but yeah I think it was actually closer to 30 lbs.

And I bought the claid from Durg

The claid you bought from durg was vultite and old style when I assessed it. But I believe it was him that converted it from old style to knew cause he had issues with the -10 AS on old style claidhs.

friend of mine still owns a vultite claid (old-style) furthermore, oldstyle allows the owner to wspec in two-handed swords (greatswords) and recieve bonus both on his old claidh and his blessable two handed sword with only one wpec.
