Item up for auction is a a thinly pointed vultite gauntlet-sword.

After a careful inspection you determine that a thinly pointed vultite gauntlet-sword requires skill in brawling and one-handed edged weapons to use effectively. It appears to be a modified katar.

It looks like this item has been mainly crafted out of vultite.

4x, weighs 3lbs.

The gauntlet-sword has bubble flares that were added to it on the Spitfire, when it flares it looks like this:

** Your gauntlet-sword resonates with a high-pitched sound and causes your skin and muscles to tighten! **

For 60 seconds afterward, it gives the holder the equivalent of heavy damage padding. The flares will stack with damage padding from armor, and the padding granted from Sunfist sigils. The 60 second time limit also refreshes with each flare, so a multi-striking fighter or twc user would essentially have damage padding the entire fight.

There was some concern when I had the flares added to the weapon that they were broken because they were not flaring during a maneuver attack. After some time discussing it with feedback, I was told the flares were designed to not be triggered by maneuver attacks. So the weapon is working as intended.

CB: SOLD to Lady L

So if someone bids the BO, and then someone bids the BO+5m you won't take the BO of 10m?

What I meant was that if the bidding is going between 2 people or more like this

A: 6 mil
B: 7 mil
C: 9 mil

That the next person to bid doesn't automatically "win" the item just because their bid is the same as the original buyout. In that case, I would expect any buyout offers to be 14 mil or higher.

your algebra miscategorizes "buyout" as some sort of variable, when it is actually an end sum in and of itself.

That is unless you change the rules mid-sale and merely say, "there is not a buyout, keep bidding so I can get more coin than anticipated from the sale of my 4x katar. kkthxbai." That is your right, your reputation, and your decision. I would recommend moving it to the "auction" folder in that case.

""Buy Out" means there's no more bidding over that amount... You're retarded."

I think I see where the problem is. I've always considered the buyout price to be like the buy it now price on Ebay. That's the cost a person would pay for the convenience of taking the item home right away. They might end up paying more than the item would have ultimately sold for, or they might luck out and get it for a lower price if several people were interested.

I never considered Buy Out to be a "This is the highest amount of silvers I will accept for my item" price. But it doesn't matter what I consider it to be if everyone else thinks of another way. I want these auctions to be as fair as possible to everyone, so I'm setting the buy out at plain vanilla 10 mil. First bidder to get there wins the prize.

Thanks for the input everyone.
