How does my stat placement look? any tips or advice?

I wanted to stay as a pure caster from the beginning. Didn't like the claidhmore thing.

Looks like you are going to need some wands.

No real way to avoid that as a pure caster huh?

Not at that level. Your stat placement is very short-sighted in its goals, you will end up paying for that later on.

Skip lore for the time being. They won't do you much good and they're too much of a TP-drain early on. Is there a reason for your survival and swimming training?

I have always done pure caster from level 0 up (no toys, no outside spells). It's really not that bad. As people say, wands are pretty much necessary if you're trying to maximize your throughput.

Hunt snow spectres in Icemule. You should be able to handle them at your level. They're pretty absurdly easy so they're a great hunt through level 10.

Don't forget that intuition factors into enchanting.

Which part is short sighted?

Well, for example.

Optimize for cap
Co 85 -> 100
De 23 -> 91
Di 77-> 100
Lo 62-> 100
It 62 -> 100
St 88 -> 100
Ag 70 -> 98
If 70 -> 98
Wi 73 -> 100

Your stats at 100 (guessed what the startings were)
St 93
Con 96
Dex 100
Agl 98
Dis 95
Aur 100
Log 100
It 82
Wis 86
Inf 82

Even if you were just optimizing for level 40 (not taking into account bolting strategy)

Starting Stats would be:
Co 90
De 37
Di 66
Lo 94
It 22
St 95
Ag 21
If 70
Wi 70
Au 95

What he said. Your stats will produce fewer mental training points which is the bread and butter of a pure.

where do I find one of these guides that optimizes me to say lvl 50? And I do understand the perk of wanting to optimize your stats to the fullest, and that yes the Dex will fly up quick because of its importance, but does anyone have growing pains stories of having a 27 dex trying to level with that? Wands or not, i find it would be difficult to be that low for your bolting AS. I also have never tried it so I'm talking with zero experience. I have maybe 3 days until my stat change runs out, so if anyone can offer any advice or remarks based on their experiences trying it optimized to those standards please let me know.

It's basically up to you to sit in front of the Tsoran spreadsheet and tweak your stats until you're happy with the progression. Basically any race/profession combination is viable. Stats are pretty similarly flexible as long as you're not intentionally crippling yourself (e.g. giving yourself a huge dex penalty as a bolt wizard).

Starting stats depend so much on the preference, style, and requirements of the player.

ah okay, the tool I was using to check growth only working for cap, which I will never make, so shooting for something around 50 may be more realistic. It could all be for naught if my time is up anyhow but i may tweak it some when I get home, at least push dex to hmm 60 and bump up some other stuff.
