View Full Version : Worth it to roll a wizard just for Enchanting?

Hello, I was thinking about getting back into Gemstone. I was just curious if it was actually worth playing wizard just so I can enchant my own equipment later on.

If not, I was probably going to just play my sorcerer or warrior again.

Thanks

To get there, you'd need a good 50-60 wizard, lot of work.

Wizards are fun to play though.

So really not worth the time just to get enchanting, huh?

Not specificaly if you really don't want to play a wizard for awhile.

Of course, could always multiaccount and bring 2 up at once, having a pocket wizard is always beneficial.

I love my low fifties wizard just for the utility of having all of the spells. The fact he's done many low-end enchants, and a major without ease is a benefit to my forging rogue.

I'd recommend it.

Are you a warmage or a pure?

Are you a warmage or a pure?

Pure, with a fire spec. I have no issues hunting when the urge strikes, but that the character's only leveled a couple of times in years says how often that comes around.

I rolled up a wizard in Shattered that was going the warmage route with my rogue there. It is powerful, almost too much so to hunt with a same level rogue, even in the twenties. Either route will go well, but make sure you choose a good race/stat combination if you go with the warmage.
