House Aspis Bardfest Approaches!

In just about two weeks, the House of the Argent Aspis will be hosting the 16th Annual Bardfest! Aspis' longstanding celebration of Elanthian culture and creativity runs from Koaratos 12th through 14th (7/12-14), and concludes with the finals on Koaratos 18th. This is a reminder to get your notices of intent to Ahmeuseng soon so that performance scheduling can be finalized in time! Please send them as soon as possible to Bardfest16@hotmail.com

Everyone has a story to tell, a song in their hearts, and a poem in their eyes-- Share your performance art at Bardfest this year! Argent Aspis has been proud and honored to host this event for the past sixteen years, and we invite you to become a part of one of the longest-running tales in Elanthia.

Our Grand Prize will be ten million silvers, and the winner's name will be inscribed for all time on the Bardfest Trophy on display in the Wehnimer's Landing museum, alongside all our past winners.

Runners-up will receive comparable sums and in addition, Argent Aspis has commissioned a master artisan to craft a special gift to award to the Best New Voice! All attendees are ensured several evenings of the best entertainment Elanthia has to offer.

"Once there was a dwarf by the name Smelts.
He drove a yoked cart stuffed bursting with pelts

And spend his coins at the local town dwelts."

Leifa drops one silver.

Leifa sashays about gracefully, just enjoying herself.

"Now ye'd not know but Smelts is quite the rake
He'd work his magic on barmaids in his wake
And quite often he'd find, after some pheasant and wine
they oft agree to a quick toss and a shake."

Leifa thumbs the feather fan in her hand.

And Smelts got right to work on that lass with a tickle
While they frolicked and romped, the oxen did stomp
But they ne'r discovered they'd soon be in a pickle."

And all over the hay, upon which the tramp he did lay
Was soaked through with that noxious stink."

"When those boys they did strike the match flint
Time seemed to stand still but for an instant
Just as Smelts hit his mark, that match lit up a spark
Exploding them all near to splints!"

A sudden burst of bright light emanates from your hand!

Fell into the street, Smelts forever branded a delinquent old dolt!"
