Enchanting denied

I was going to enchant my chainspear to 7x by premium points but was denied, Sadie said they can't be enchanted past 6x, anyone know what makes them so special they can't be enchanted any higher? I don't see them as any special uber weapon.

Has anyone ever had any work done on these? Could it be like bard songs in that they simply don't want to mess with things because they don't want to mess it up?

Mine has been altered, so they can work on them.

They cannot be mage enchanted past 6x either.

This isn't a new thing at all, was how they were designed and released.

Given you can have 3 flares on it, its not unreasonable.

I've heard about the 6x limitation before, years and years ago.

I can't help you on the why though.
