Taking odd offers I suppose on this rather old old item.
There were other traps similar to it, such as a cat trap that worked in the same manner, but this is the only rat version of those traps.
Basically it does the following:
Once you drop it on the ground, it becomes attuned to the person who dropped it last. No one but you can pick it back up while it's on the ground.
Once on the ground you can OPEN the trap. Once opened, the trap on the ground will capture with messaging, any "rat" creature. After a few struggles, the creature dies and you can loot it, then open back up the trap and repeat.
Mostly a niche kind of item, since there is only 1 rat trap and it's older than Spike himself.
