This subject must have been raised on the officials. Instead of trying to find any official response on those boards can anyone here say what the sitch is with this? Is it considered abusing a bug?

It would seem so to me. The intent of stalking is to follow the mark unseen. Not to avoid group close mechanics to group and fog or Voln the mark against their will.

If it was considered bug abuse it would have been addressed years ago.

It's more of a feature than a bug, as stalking uses group mechanics.

It is a useful tool for getting rid of tools.

And a tool that tools can use to be bigger tools.

Its harmless enough, just annoying. I need to think of a devious counter or a way to break it.

If it lands in an unsancted spot, due to failure, you can just kill the caster. You can also move instantly and they'll go with you, as they are in your group.
