DS change

Should my DS change by 30 points when attacked by two of the same type creature, using the same weapon, with the same AS? Both attacks were one right after the other, I didn't pick anything up between them (so no extra encumberance), wasn't hit (so no injury), in the same stance for both attacks, and no spells had worn off.

i.e.:
A large ogre swings a closed fist at you!
AS: +155 vs DS: +213 with AvD: +25 + d100 roll: +47 = +14
A clean miss.

A large ogre swings a closed fist at you!
AS: +155 vs DS: +183 with AvD: +25 + d100 roll: +44 = +41
A clean miss.

Did you move between rooms? Some rooms have DS mods.

Yes I did. I didn't realize that. Is there any way of telling this about a room?

No.

The room descriptions might hint at it if there's reference to it being dark, hard to see or foggy or something to that effect.

If its a spell fog or darkness then you'll just have to wait for it to wear off because you can't detect a room for spells.
