View Full Version : Lets have a revolution.
Don't think of it as bloody as past revolutions have been. Think of it as a world party.
We all have friends we sit down and feel good with making for good times. People come and go from our groups, and while we weep the losses and are anxious about the replacements, in the end we adapt and enjoy and the cycle continues.
Lets get out of all this negativity. Its a black hole to nowhere. The polarization of people in the world, today, May 15th 2004, is as bad as, if not worse than, the WWII era.
How do you have a mellow revolution without people getting killed? I've been trying to think of ways to do it. In the past, killing someone has worked, true. Survival of the fittest and all that.
Perhaps all this need to come to a head before we can move beyond it. I'm fine with that too. But I'd rather see more people come through it than less. Because I generally like people.
Anyway, here is what I think the symbol (Every good marketing campaign has a catchy gimmick) should be.

Most of the people I know in real life and socialize with don't feel much negativity... But good luck :spin:

Damn, I was just thinking about how easy a victory it'd be if Liberals revolted. You guys don't even have guns.

Thanks. I am not good at proofreading. Ever consider a career in publishing?

It's a fallacy to confuse liberal with pacifist. Don't forget the founding fathers were the liberals of their day and look what happened then :)

Easy. Not only make pot legal, but force everyone to smoke it. That'll start a revolution of the mellow kind. ;)

Well that just proves another of my theories. We should celebrate every day because it is SOMEONE's birthday. :bleh:

Geez!
Said as a joke, but the truth is, it would kill my fiance'e. She has never smoked it, just been around folks that were, and it damn near killed her then.

Been having bad days since Bush decided to go to war on Iraq. I wasn't for it then, I'm not for it now.
Bush should be the president of Iraq, in my opinion. He actually went on TV to apologize to them for something thats already a given. Meanwhile, with the jobless rate, failing economy, deaths of US citizens, and what not, he has not said he is sorry to any of us.

Well, Backlash, I think it's futile to let what people like Bush do, get you down.

The economy was failing because of Clinton and natural recession.. before Bush got into office. The jobless rate is recovering.
Stop being a pussy.

Failing economy?
Since this year:
Jan - +159,000 jobs
Feb - +83,000 jobs
Mar - +327,000 jobs
Apr - +288,000 jobs
Average job growth so far - +214,250 jobs per month, and it'd be higher if February wasn't such a slacker.
3rd quarter of 2003 - GDP +8.2%
4th quarter of 2003 - GDP +4.1%
1st quarter of 2004 - GDP +4.2%
3 quarter average - GDP + 5.5%
Average GDP growth in the 90s - +3.1%
Average GDP growth in the 80s - +2.9%
