So after being contacted by several people (who also know other people), I can confidently say that this is going to happen.

Details will need to be worked out so I need everyone's input!

I am shooting for July and have yet to decide if we are going to do Seattle, Portland, or meet in the middle. I know there is some interest in making this a weekend thing since some people will be traveling so that is most likely going to be an option as well.

Please contact me.

Once again, my sn is misungrace.

So brainstorming has brought me to this:

http://www.mcmenamins.com/451-olympic-club-home

I am going to go ahead and say this will be our meeting place since it is centrally located and has fun for everyone.

I am going to plan on this being a weekend/overnight event so those who want to stay over can make their reservations for rooms themselves once we get a date set.

Added a poll to find out people's preferences about location.

I am voting for Seattle, but mid-way sounds ok, too!

I voted for the middle but I am not attending. Sorry.

That Olympic Hotel looks amazing. Actually, after surfing, all their hotels look incredible.

Looks like middle has the lead, and the Olympic does look pretty sweet. I'll do my best to be there whenever this goes down.

I could be convinced to show up in Seattle and hang out with GSers.

Main reason for my Seattle vote is that I work at night and every weekend...since things mostly happen on weekends, driving hours away for the day then back then work do not mix. Not to mention the boss has said that any time requested off in July and the begining of August is not going to happen for anyone. Yippie...thanks boss.

Seattle would be easiest for me, considering I would be going with my fiance (Kaig, who posted right above me), so my reasons would be his. Except it wouldn't be me working, obviously.

I can do Seattle on a weekend, and can drive a carpool up from PDX if needed.

Hey, just following up... I have someone interested in coming from CA..

Misun

In the works still. I was hoping more people would contact me but I've only got three so far. Since it's looking like Seattle is going to be the favorite choice, I'll have to ask someone to contact me and give suggestions of places since I am not overly familiar with it. Sn is misungrace.

You should have a gathering where people from the PNW fly out to Boston. That would be wicked pissah.

Just saw this thread (was thinking about starting one up myself) but I see that I'm behind the power curve... I can do Seattle (I'm across the way on the other side of the pond).

Not sure on what everyone is looking for in a place to hang out.. I'm a low key guy so just grabbing a bite to eat somewhere is always cool with me. I also have a friend that used to work in this huge bowling alley (Acme bowling) is what I think it was called.. He said that place was pretty amazing. I think it was just off the 405 near the airport..

Then again we could always do something down by the ferry area.. This way anyone who is travelling up could avoice the seattle traffic, drive over to bremerton, and take the ferry over... I know I would rather take my time and take the ferry than deal with that mess downtown.. Gah.

Anyway when you figure out a date please let us know.

Heh, I've never even been to that area, but this thread is making me feel like playing Shadowrun.

I just meant the SNES and Genesis games. Both were pretty awesome IMO.. I still play through 'em every year or so.

PEW PEW!

We play tabletop every now and then too. (From inside the mud.)

Low key sounds good to me too. When you say ferry area, do you mean the area in downtown?

Yeah... Pretty much down by the waterfront. The only issue is as always, parking in that area sucks...

Unlike my high school proms back in the day, I can get lucky once in a while...

I just wanted to say that I have not completely dropped the ball on this. I have had some stuff going on that required my attention first. What I really would need right now though is someone who could step up and help me figure out where in Seattle since I really am really not familiar enough with it to plan it alone. OR...if someone in Seattle wants to take it over, please feel free. Once again, sn is misungrace or pm me. Thanks

I'm happy to help with organizing this but just a heads up, the month of August is slammed for me so it's gonna be September before I could commit to anything.

This is a place where players have gotten together before:

http://www.aztecamex.com/

http://maps.google.com/maps?q=17555%20Southcenter%20Parkway,%20Tukwila,%2 0WA%2098188

Plenty of parking at the Southcenter restaurant. Food is/was pretty good.

Azteca is good... but noisy! Still, it's a start, right?

Anyone know of a quiet bar or pub down by the ferry area? I wouldn't mind having a drink or two along with maybe something from a grill... That sounds good.

I guess I could just crash at my friends house if we do this on a Saturday...

By the way, I found out I'm leaving the area Right before Thanksgiving..

Alright, so considering what just happened with Simucon, I am MORE than happy to be lead on organizing a PNW gathering this summer. FTS. It's on!

edit: or somewhere else fun, for that matter.
