<this was stolen from briarfox's post>
It seems that this ring is an enhanced copy of a very old piece produced back in the late '90s, from the same era that produced the rapture cloaks and of a similar style. As such, it's something of a relic. It has both regular scripts and hiding and invis scripts.

A rune-carved black ora jackal's head ring set with faceted bloodstone eyes
SOLD

The ring resonates with your voice, indicating that it enhances its owner in the following ways:
It provides a bonus of 8 to Stalking and Hiding Bonus.
It provides a bonus of 2 to Perception Bonus.
The ring looks to have more than your average giantman could count charges remaining.

You sense that the jackal's head ring will persist after its last enhancive charge has been expended.

Speaking to you, Droughtman says, "Helps you hide, and it has the spirit of a jackal bound in to it."

Droughtman says, "It may or may not also be cursed horribly and cause you to die a painful death."

a thin-grained sephwir light crossbow inlaid with curled mithril scrollwork

SOLD

I know this is a light crossbow, but it is very effective sniper weapon. I have overhunted with it with no problems. It's 5x and heavy sighted. With the windlass this thing can spit out arrows and keep you in the shadows.

look cross
You glance at a thin-grained sephwir light crossbow inlaid with curled mithril scrollwork. The sephwir light crossbow has a small windlass attached to it. It seems to be in fine working order, the cording recently replaced and the crank and winch well oiled.

rub cross
You polish your sephwir light crossbow with your hand, trying to remove all the imperfections.

tap cross
You scrutinize the tiller of your crossbow, occasionally running your thumb along the crossbow's surface, looking for flaws.

turn cross
Your grab the windlass attached to the crossbow and turn it, smoothly cocking it.
Roundtime: 3 sec. (3 sec. time even if you are weak - won't pull you from hiding, etc.)

push cross
Carefully planting your foot firmly on the ground, you brace the prod of your crossbow against it securely. With the ease of long practice you slip the bowstring from one nock, twist it several times to tighten, and slide the knot's loop back into position.

pluck cross
You give your crossbow string a good pluck, testing it for proper tension.
The string makes a high pitched *twang* as you release it. (This also works from hiding (no pull) or invisible)

You hear a high pitched *twang* coming from somewhere nearby.

toss cross
You toss your crossbow a few inches in the air, catching it adroitly as you swing it around and sight down its length.

point cross at cece
You carefully sight down your sephwir light crossbow and along the shaft at

Aww. Why you gotta take all the archery goodies, BriarFox?

Actually, I don't horde archery stuff. I have a 6x sephwir longbow, a bottomless quiver, and now this crossbow.

I don't feel like the ring is worth 14m personally. I'd maybe look at it if it had a minumum bid of say 7mil.

I'm actually fairly interested in the ring, as well, but can't justify 10m for it. It's a nice item, and might be worth that to someone, but for me it's just too expensive.
