I dont really belong in this thread because it's about LOVE and I really am just interested in being a man hating lesbian and chopping off penis.... BUT. I'm going to vote on the LAST OPTION because I liked that match. All three of them.

I'm all about lesbians wanting to chop off man-penis, in fact I think there should be a series of zombie movies starring Justin Timberlake and Rachael Maddow concerning just such a topic...
But wait...what was my point again? Oh crap, I'm gonna go pretend I have something to do.

Savage vs Steamboat. That was not only the best Savage match of all time, it was one of THE best matches of all time.

All great choices but I'm going to vote for a different one for different reasons.
So top 3...
3) Macho vs Warrior - WM8 - Amazing story, and they wanted Savage on commentary for a bit and his body needed to rest, and of course, it led to the epic feud with Jake Roberts and the cobra incident.
2) Savage vs Steamboat - WM3 - What more can be said about this match. ***** by nearly any IWC reviewer and its really the gold standard of how a 5 star match is done. If you never seen its, its on youtube. It really is that good. Required viewing if your a fan at all.
So why isn't either #1? Because it was established star vs established star. Warrior, Savage, Steamboat all had a version of the World title (WWE or NWA many times).
1) 1997's feud of the year - Randy Savage vs Diamond Dallas Page. Savage pulled Page from the midcard into headliner as Page chased him all year, suffered beatings from the NWO, and was a classic moment when Page beat Savage for the United States belt and ran into the crowd to celebrate with the people and a new star was born. Page went on to capture the WCW heavyweight belt soon thereafter as it was shown he could put asses every 18 inches.
He had a lot of great matches and feuds, and thats why he is a legend in the business.

Never really got into the DDP phenomenon...if you can call that 4 months he was a low end headliner a phenomenon.
Every time he did his little diamond symbol with his hands, all I could think of was when you were kids and matched your hands up with a friends hands and made the little fake psedo-vaginas.
And that just made him seem silly to me...
That's right...a professional wrestler that STOOD OUT for doing something silly.
That's like the dude who works in the R+D department getting called a nerd by all the other nerds.
And I loved the steamboat one too...but FIVE elbows! C'MON!

Now I am gonna argue with you...
Hand signs, things the crowd can do is money in the 'wrasslin' game.
Matt Hardy's V1
The Four Horsemen hand sign, the recognized symbol of excellence - heck I still use this one
Jimmy Snuka's 'i love you'
Savage's finger twirl
The Triple Threat hand sign from ECW
Even today....
Fourtune's from TNA
Hand signs make money cause they sell merch, they get the crowd into the guy in an emotional investment. So DDP's diamond sign was silly, heck, they ALL are! But the BANG! sold merch, and helped elevate him as it was the sign of the diamond cutter (ace cutter, now the RKO).
As far as low end, DDP headlined the next 2 years, had the Jersey Triad thing, and he did pretty good for getting into the business late in life.
At the end of the day, in wrestling, its all about standing out, what catches fire and the imagination, both as as good guy or a bad guy, cause ...
I'm the Miz, and I am AWESOME.
Whod'a thunk even a year ago...
