What is the most viable path besides Archery as a rogue? I'd like to continue 2.5xing picking and getting a spell every 10ish levels until 404.

I was thinking dual weapon, I have enough to get a nice weighted weapon or two. One question here, is crit weighting still as effective as it used to be?

I'd rather not go the 2h ambushing path, because you have to sacrifice a lot for it, and I'd like to continue picking.

<<One question here, is crit weighting still as effective as it used to be?>>

Crit weighting is the same, but it's completely hindered by random crits. So no, it's not as effective in general, but weighting itself hasn't changed.

I'm aware it hasn't changed, I was just wondering if the impact it had on a hunt was the same, or nearly the same.

I was thinking about trying TWC. Anyone know how effective it is? Any tips on training/stats?

Using a claidh in GSIV, I can honestly tell you, it completely sucks compared to what it used to do.

My Ranger is TWC. He doesnt do to bad untill there's more then one or two in the room at the same time. He heals himself more then fights for the most part. But rogues might have more redux then a ranger. The spells realy hurt dux I'm sure. But he can hunt the rift and learn do fine solo with TWC.

my warrior kicks ass at twc. 5x crit broadsword in one hand 2 pound 4x damage axe in off hand.

TWC sucks until you're about level 50.

Since we're on topic for weird weapon choices...I've rolled up a rogue and was thinking of using brawling weapons, perhaps even two-handed?

Does this sound viable or a complete waste of resources? I'd like her to come jumping out of the shadows with troll-claws or something on and just hack things to pieces.

Troll-claws... <shudders>

Fist-scythes are significantly better. And yes, it's very doable.

My rogue is a twin brawler, and he kicks ass. Very fun to play. But I've said this before.

2 piercing weapons + hiding + ambushing and if you have a good math head = 100% death on each attack (beside if you "parry).

Level 4 crits on eye still kill, so a level 8 or 9 on an eye is an automatic death (if of course, you hunt monsters that are killed that way).

A 2 handing short sword thief.. ouchy.

Yeah, then you run into something that doesn't get pierced and cry.

Also, I'm very much enjoying the very physical THW path.
