Need a little help here, trying to figure out which would be the best path for my 29th lvl rogue to go. Wondering which is better 2 handed weapon or archery. With the fixskill coming up I am trying to decide. Any help would be great.:?:

I like both. I have lots of archers, and a 15 train rogue 2h ambusher who absolutely annhilates things over his head. He hunts 25+ with no problem, as long as he gets the first shot off.

I personally would go 2handed ambush. Archery is annoying and inneffective against hard skinned/armored critters/people.

Armor Use 60
Combat Maneuvers 60
Multi-Opponent Combat 60
Ambush 60
Physical Fitness 60
Dodging 60
Climbing 10
Swimming 10
Stalking and Hiding 90
Perception 60
Pickpocketing 60

This is what I have rank wise so far. I have about another 140 TP left for the weapon skill.

Archery is a pain in the ass against anything in chain or above. I'm strongly considering using the upcoming Fixskills to make my archer rogue something else.

Also, I hear having good equipment is critical to having a successful 2h ambush rogue. So if you can't afford some decently enchanted stuff, don't bother.

Pah, there's a reason you can aim at eyes.

Namely, that eyes are soft, and jelly like, and armor don't matter! But that's also why they're the hardest by far to aim at.

It seems to me that aiming against critters that are older than you strongly increases your chance of a stumble and/or a miss. Arrows are awesome for anything in brig or lower, but they suck against older critters in heavy armor.

Id say go with the 2h ambush, its very effective. Being as he is already 30(almost) you will get some redux for it which will help you out. Also guild skills will be your friend which means back to the guild with you. I would ditch the MOC either way. Neither weapon styles are geared towards MOC use. The roundtimes would be horrible. Id make sure PT is maxed and then throw some points in to get spells, maybe work your way up to 410 which will be your friend as you get older.
