Gingerphobia?

I was talking with my neighbor recently and she informed me that her father used to manage a store and would not hire gingers. He has some creepy phobia with them, much like me with clowns, and would refuse to hire gingers. I know of kick a ginger day and that there MIGHT be some people who don't care for them.

I'm wondering, how many here have a gingerphobia? Remember that there are varying degrees of redheads and gingers.

I have a friend who can't even stand to sit next to gingers in a theater or be touched by one. She tried to dye her hair some color but it came out looking orange. Her ex said she looked like a ginger and she cried. But she's messed up from years of hard drug use and she's now a collection of weird phobias and neuroses. For instance, she can't be in the same room as people eating crunchy things. If she wants to eat something crunchy herself, she has to turn up loud music to help drown out the sound or try to crunch in time with the people around her if loud music isn't an option.

I've heard from her sisters that she wasn't THAT bad before the meth and she's gotten better since quitting but it's an odd side effect that wouldn't have occurred to me.

I won't say she's beaten the addiction forever, since it seems to be a lifelong battle, but she's been clean for years now. Plus, where else would I find someone I could torture just by eating a stick of celery in a quiet room?

I have a ginger who works for me and it does a good job. Sometimes it can be a little rambunctious... a little mischievous. But it gets the job done at the end of the day. It is short, has wide eyes and lots of energy. For some reason I want to describe it like how I think a leprechaun would act.

Y'know I'm beginning to understand peoples fear of gingers. Except for the 8 foot tall gargantuan sticking out like a sore thumb a lot of the people look eerily similar. In fact when I first saw the picture I looked at the bottom and I thought it was just one person in different poses photo shopped into one picture.

I don't mind the darker shades of red. But, the lighter apricots and bright oranges creep me out, cause you can't see their eyelashes and it just looks...well, creepy. IMO, of course.

My mom's ex has a grandson, and my mom practically raised him since his parents were lazy dickheads. So, one day we took him to McDonald's and they had a life size Ronald McDonald at the end of the counter. In the middle of ordering, he saw it, pointed to it and yelled, "Daddy!" I thought the girl serving us was going to burst from trying not to laugh. Funny part is, his father did look a lot like RM.
