I liked the Elton John appearance on the Weekend Update.
That, and the TV Funhouse cartoon of McCain introducing Bush.

Pop and hip hop are not good live music, they are studio music.

My favorite was Jesus doing the Peanuts jig.

Yeah he was doing it on purpose, and I don't think it was to spoof anything. A lot of times they'll have a track in the back for the background vocals, which is what that seemed to be. Just my take on it. I know he really sings his raps so I'm not overly concerned about him. Ashlee, on the other hand, is a tool.

I saw Wu-Tang live. Nothing better than seeing 10 stoned/drunk/stupid men who are supposed to share a stage. They got in each others way, they took each others raps, they interupted each others raps. It was sheer hilarity.
However, they were followed by R.A.t.M, which still makes me happy.

I saw that tour, best part was ODB passing out on stage after drinking himself into a stupor and and having a 30 minute rant on how he hates blacks. good shit, then of course ratm tore it up afterward. damn that was.....5-6 years ago?

They put on a good live show... and to top it all off they were hitting a blunt from some guy in the audience throughout the show. [Some] hiphop artists should stay in the studio but some put on a really great live show.

I saw D12, Eminem, Ludacris, Xibit, Pappa Roach, and the Executioners at a show a few years back. They all put on a great show except Luda was alittle boring. Eminem, Xibit and Pappa Roach were my fav's.

Ya, it was a long time ago. Did Tim Morello's mom come out and introduce them as "The best fucking band in the entire world" at your show? Also, the best concert moment of my entire life was during Revolver when during the quiet minute or so the lights were all off then during the build up they timed a strobe light with the snare on that steady down beat. Zack was crouched in a ball on the ground repeating "As he approaches the door" then the snare breaks out into a roll and the strobe goes fucking nuts and finally the flood lights come on when they break out into hard-core real rocknroll. Zack was jumping around the stage like a maniac screaming "Hey Revolver, do mothers make good fathers?"
It gives me goosebumps to even think about now. The energy at that moment was undescribable.

I thought the same thing when I first heard the story.. thinking Emenem, the self promoting wizard that he is... is getting us to talk about him and his music once again.. GENIUS!
But there is no indication on the clip that he did it on purpose. You can also see that he was reading from a monitor.. leading me to believe he simply didn't feel comfortable with the song lyrics and had to lip-sync it to get it "right".

After watching the clip, I don't really understand what you're all talking about... A bunch of artists use a back-vocal like that for hooks...

PS: Eminem fucking blows

Whatever.
Bottom line it was a good show. I didn't really see anything in that clip that effects my life in any way shape or form so whatever let him do what he wants I like his stuff political alignment doesn't change that.

Pretty much. I still think Curt Schilling is a good pitcher even though he endorsed Bush.

Ok I tried to keep quiet.. but as far as I am concerned the only purpose either of those two serve is to amuse us when they screw up.

My motives are not always alligned with the Republican Party. In this case, my motives were to poke fun at Emenem.. nothing else.
