So, I'm looking on some input with my training from the lot of you, not necessarily because I need "help" with it, but I am just struggling over what paths I want to take still to this day. Below I'll list different paths that I toy over, and the pros and cons to each, then I am hoping to get some collective thoughts on what would work good for me, since I'm still young and all.

Black Winds Path:

Clearly simple path for the most part, a master of shadows. Taking smastery, armor stealth, vanish and so forth along with TWC daggers, 2x CM. Pretty self explanatory really but with this path I'd likely NOT have lockpicking or disarming traps since it is more combat/stealth oriented.

PROS: 2x CM leaves me with amble cmans to have, along with the added AS from it. Thus hunting would be a bit easier than other paths.

CONS: Inability to pick my own boxes. While this may be a huge thing to most, I still think that it's simple enough to find a locksmith for my boxes, since I'm currently only 17 trains. So the hardest part I struggle with, is lugging boxes around until I find a smith, and having to wait for one if I do.

Self Sufficient Path:

This is a second path, one I currently use for Jukes and does quite well with. Only thing with this is I do not 2x CM as I would do the above since instead I'd be 2x pick/disarm and less cmans.

PROS: Able to pick my own boxes, save time and money with no tipping and still able to pick other like level boxes for others for side income.

CONS: Not as much CMANS at my disposal to play with, more TP heavy as well so training up skills would be somewhat slower.

Ranged Magical Path:

This path many know about, with ranged weaponry I won't have to worry so much about CM since not many cmans work well with archery, and it doesn't affect ranged AS in the least bit which leaves me for more TPs for spell ranks as I get older. I think at 17, I can already have 404 with this path.

PROS: Ranged weaponry, ranged weapons eat shit alive...Spell learning as training gets higher, and still being able to hide/snipe with the best of them.

CONS: Ranged weapons are rather too easy sometimes, and can become a dull if you've used them before like I have. No lockpicking either with this path

Below is my current setup, as is now. I'd have to say out of all the above paths, I am leaning mostly towards the black wind path, or the one I already have since it is nice to pick my own boxes and still hunt very well.

Opinions/Suggestions? or tl;dr? :P

But won't say thank you because he could do it all on his own.

I only need help when it comes to this weird dream I have, something about midgets involving I can't believe it's not butter...Some waffles...Two ferrets...A banana....And Katy Perry.

Aside from that, the above I don't need help on, just maybe directional advice or some sweet caucasian persuasion.

And here is me, owning a troll without my sigils up...

You leap from hiding to attack!
You swing a bright red vultite dirk at a battle-scarred Grimswarm troll scourge!
AS: +199 vs DS: +85 with AvD: +21 + d100 roll: +63 = +198
... and hit for 40 points of damage!
Well placed strike shatters a rib!

** Your vultite dirk flares with a burst of flame! **

... 20 points of damage!
Minor burns to head. That hurt a bit.
The troll scourge bellows in agony as the fire toasts her body!
... 5 points of damage!
Minor burns to back. Looks uncomfortable.

You swing a drakar-edged skinning knife at a battle-scarred Grimswarm troll scourge!
AS: +199 vs DS: +87 with AvD: +21 + d100 roll: +48 = +181
... and hit for 21 points of damage!
Minor puncture to the chest.

** Your skinning knife flares with a burst of flame! **

... 20 points of damage!
Minor burns to abdomen. Looks painful.
The troll scourge rolls over and dies.
A battle-scarred Grimswarm troll scourge appears less confident.
The powerful look leaves a battle-scarred Grimswarm troll scourge.
The deep blue glow leaves a battle-scarred Grimswarm troll scourge.
A battle-scarred Grimswarm troll scourge loses its focused look.
Roundtime: 4 sec.

If you're going the TWC route and not crit killing eye shot consistently, you may consider dual wielding short swords for extra damage, with 3x dodge for DS benefits. If you do hit the eyes regularly, daggers are the way to go. Crowd Press and small weapons was always fun.

I'm not sure how effective the Sniper route would be at 17, but that path always interested me personally. Especially with shadow mastery, vanish, distract. This could help you fly into your 50s easily I imagine. Sigil of Major Bane + arrow puncture to the eye could be nasty.

I always envisioned my rogue in no higher than brig, evading attacks, and hitting vital areas with lethal precision.

Kinda how I am Ax, and how things are for the most part.

Archery is kinda meh for me, which is why I'm enjoying twc with daggers alot, even at 17 I seem to hit what I aim for nicely.

The only hardest part is this whole lockpicking thing. Do I want to keep it, or drop it is really what holds me up.

Since then if I drop it, it will help determine what I'd do with the leftover points, and if I kept it, well I wouldn't have a need to change anything

Then forgo Ranged completely. If it isn't fun it isn't worth it.

I had a TWC Brawling rogue that used fist-scythes. That was a blast.

Ranged is fun, don't get me wrong, but it was rather boring and simple to me.

That and as it stands now, I have some very nice daggers I use so it would be silly not to change.

I think the decision at this point is to drop lockpicking all together, and pick up 2x CM. I've died once or twice in the past few days, along with setting off a few traps simply by being distracted heh...So we'll just say it's a sign from above to change!

Then hurl them badboys.

Waaayyyy to expensive to do that, if I had a string attached, sure I would. But right now, no...
