Just pulled this out of a box and wanted some thoughts on what infusion path one would go with? I've a sorcerer of 52 trains, 2x arcane symbols. I've never infused 1700 circle.
You wave your runestone at a tattered scroll.
As the runestone passes over the scroll, you sense:
(1704) Stun Cloud with a number of charges remaining.
(403) Lock Pick Enhancement with many charges remaining.
(401) Elemental Defense I with many charges remaining.
(1718) V'tull's Fury with a number of charges remaining.
Cast Roundtime 3 Seconds.

1718 is difficult to work with. I would suggest doing so in a workshop with as high a tier as possible. Remember, it is MIU that is taken into account on the actual unlocking, and ArcS for infusing. 3 waves of Beiron'fyn, 1 of quiss'fyn. Infuse until it looks like you're putting in 1 charge at a time. Stop at that point or you'll likely lock it.

I never realized a workshop improves the unlocking and infusing. Which one do you recommend (particularly in the landingish area)?
Also good call on locking the other spells down with Beiron'fyn rune. I've been away and forgot so much!
1704 isn't useful then? Just go for the 1718?

1704 is useless outside of having fun at other peoples' expense, which 5 charges will certainly grant you. Then again, in my opinion the same applies for 1718 as far as i'm concerned, since i've never bothered to use it. But Rogane certainly has a shitload of fun with it every now and then.

1718 is hard for people to use on scrolls because of the hinderance. 1704 and all the other cloud spells I find very useful in warcamps. Keeps the grimswarm busy. In my experience they will always dispell the cloud first before casting at you. I like to run energy maelstrom, fire storm, area web, and stun cloud all at the same time.

All of the cloud spells, with the exception of Firestorm, are equally as useful, which is to say not much. Good for an invasion if you don't care about other people. Good for warcamps if you can keep Grimswarm from dispelling them. Beyond that? Highly, highly situational, and there will likely always be a faster, safer alternative.
1718 is useful for swingers to a degree. I think the spell will gain in popularity as more and more of those X a day weapons/Items go out with the spell.
Workshops come in three tiers. The first is public ones, meaning anyone can get to them. These will be like the Abandoned inn, or the workshop in the Hisskra area of River's Rest, and I believe all guild based ones. The next are MHO?/CHE workshops, ones that are limited to people of that house/MHO (Do MHO's get workshops?) The last tier you wont have to worry about, as it applies to private property, and I believe the benefit attunes to the owner, so you can't even borrow them.
So, TLDR; Yes, only infuse for 1718, and try to go for a workshop in a Great House if you can. That will help the most, realistically.
