This wand was in a wand belt from Droughtmans. Ended up keeping it as part of the deal. Was originally going to use it, but decided against it. So now it is for sale.

a speckled dark red kelyn wand

This is a small item, under a pound. In your best estimation, it's worth about 100,000 silvers. You can also tell that there is some type of metal in the structure of the dark red kelyn wand.

You sense a faint aura of magic around the dark red kelyn wand. You also feel a faint drawing sensation from it, as though it may be able to hold more power. From the pitch of the vibration you determine that the purpose of the wand is to cast a spell or perform some magical purpose.

From the rapid vibrations of the dark red kelyn wand, you determine it has no spell within it now, but could be imbedded with one, in the proper hands. You estimate that it can contain an average amount of mana.

As you sing, you feel a faint resonating vibration from the dark red kelyn wand in your hand...

The magical strength of this item is strong. It could probably handle the imbedding of an entirely new spell, if handled with care.

You sense that the dark red kelyn wand will persist after its last magical charge has been expended.

Why is a blank MR going for so much?

i would imagine because it can be used for offensive spells as opposed to worn MR items that wouldnt make sense to use for offensive spells.

Yep, and they are also good for better duration on defensive spells since you can imbed them with raise. I think they would more likely be used for an offensive spell though.

Hell, I have several MR gems that you can wave or raise that I'll sell for a million each!

Not to undermine this sale or anything.

that's a droughtman prize? ... that's on the lower end, borderline in the category of items if I'd shove back into Droughtman's ass.

I'd expect something nice like.. impossible to destroy, or self-recharging. Sigh.. what a sad ripoff.

I think it was an item inside a container that was a prize(wand belt).

and the belt most likely had a onus of +5 to spell aim.

Still lower end, but also not bad at all.

I would of taken his prize over my +12 HDW short sword with +5 to ohe!

Droit, a MR gem would be crumbly which would be more difficult not to lose, especially for a offensive spell.
