View Full Version : Lost a runestaff.

I stopped playing for a short time, came back and my runestaff was *poof* gone. It never left my hand or my harness. GM couldn't find it for me.

If anyone finds it, has it, or has seen it and can direct me to it I'd be so grateful. My character has been searching for it ever since she got back and is willing to offer silvers for its return to her.

All I can remember is that it was an ebon runestaff, may have been twisted or veined can't remember which, and that it matched my character's robes which has an emerald-thorned platinum rose clasp on it. So I believe the runestaff was capped with something like that.

I only have one other and she was made a week ago. I've been looking for this runestaff for a few months now. :(

If you don't have enough silvers to replace it and get a new 4x one, find Ayamei or Liskey IG

Did it happen to be a spiralling tapered faewood runestaff or something similar from the 2005 Wavedancer merchant? If so, you would be the third person including myself that have had that run of Heimer runestaffs go poof out of inventory. I am convinced that there is a bug or 'expiration date' on those weapons somehow and the GMs should figure out what's up.

No, it was just ebon and capped with an emerald. Though my boyfriend seems to think maybe the same thing happened with it as the tapered ones. Sigh... I need to check logs and see if I can find a description. They couldn't even find that much for me.

You might use a one time replacement if it's important enough

Gotta say... after returning from an absence, both my wife and I had weird items both disappear and show up on our characters. Specifically, in my wife's case, she hadn't played since before the introduction of runestaves, and when she reactivated, not only was her sorceress holding said runestaff, but her training was all garbled. She had trained like a couple ranks in First Aid, and just all sorts of lunacy.

Methinks there are some occasional bugs with some database somewhere. Sorry to hear about your staff, though.
