Can anyone chime in on the PP enchant cost on this? Can you pick to have the TD or the DS enchanted? What about padding?

At least a 1000 point surcharge, DS only and no padding because they share the slot.

Enchanting, TD boosting, defender, padded or weighted ((2 × padding/weighting level or TD/DS bonus) + Final enchant bonus) × 100

So should be (2x10+25)x100=4500 to get it up to 5x. Don't think premium points can enhance the TD level. Pretty sure TD takes up the same slot as padding, but could be off on that as well.

Correct. Only the DS can be enchanted via PPs.

IMO, still +10 TD is nice to have, compared to other TD armors out there with like +3 bonuses and all.

And I'm on the same boat as Rogane....Remember the Ensorcell spell and what that was supposed to bring? meh
