This set is the Super Bemm set that I won in the first tournament on the Dhu many years ago. Each siegery piece has its own stats for defense, hit points, and damage done per strike. With each victory a piece improves slightly.

Siege Miniatures come in three types, off the shelf, Bemmified (stats slightly improved), and Super Bemmified (OMG tiger-blood injected right into your eyeballs).

This set of miniatures is the latter. All of them have custom messaging for hits, misses, and defeats (do not expect to see the defeat messaging)

Super Bemm sets are very, very good. The following miniatures are the best of those best.

MB: 25 mil
Buyout offers will be entertained.
The winner will also receive a case that automatically repairs the miniatures inside. (A big time saver!)

an ancient gloomy black keep,
a reinforced mithril cow launcher, (anti-keep siege engine)
a steel-piped decrepit flame cannon (anti-miniature siege engine),
a blue-cloaked silver knight miniature (warrior base)
a multi-armed brassomorph miniature (sorceror base)
a blue-spotted purple octopus miniature (wizard base)
a hulking black siege engine (anti-miniature siege engine)

Below is a list of the messaging for each piece.

a blue-spotted purple octopus miniature

Show:
Sporting two bulbous inky black eyes along the crown of its rather enlarged head, the octopus would fit comfortably in the palm of a human hand. A variety of blue spots run in zig-zag patterns across its dark violet skin, and its tentacles are formed of many interlocking segments that give it quite a bit of mobility. Its wiggly, bubble-like head glistens with reflected light, while its large tentacles are lined with toothy suckers.

Hit:
Circling warily, the purple octopus miniature suddenly surges forward and flails its tentacles, beating a blue-cloaked silver knight miniature like a crazed bard on a drum!

Miss:
Sensing an opening, the purple octopus miniature lashes a tentacle out, but misses! The octopus then belches a small cloud of black smoke and shuffles away for a better position.

Defeat:
A purple octopus miniature spins in a crazy circle then falls over with a final puff of inky smoke.

a multi-armed brassomorph miniature

Show:
Made of polished brass, the construct faintly resembles a warped, mechanical centipede and is clearly equipped for combat. On each side of its slender, elongated body are six multi-jointed metal arms, each one ending in a gleaming silver scythe blade. The construct's face is a nightmare of polished blue eye-sockets and razor-sharp mandibles. The brassomorph carries itself on row upon row of tiny metal feet, allowing it the flexibility to bring its arms to bear on a single target.

Hit:
With the sounds of sliding metal and whirring gears, the brassomorph miniature undulates quickly toward its foe then rears back, all twelve scythe-arms converging on the gloomy black keep's outer walls and slicing it viciously!

Miss:
Rearing back, the brassomorph miniature charges at its foe in a whirl of spinning blades! As it approaches, the brassomorph suddenly loses its footing and the off-balance attack misses completely!

Defeat:
The multi-armed brassomorph miniature's legs give way and it topples to the ground with a CRASH!

a blue-cloaked silver knight miniature

Show:
The miniature appears to have the strong features of a giantman, his gold-flecked bronze green eyes staring forth proudly, while his clean-shaven face and broad shoulders give him an imperial air. Clad in silver platemail chased with intricate designs, the knight's bracers are decorated with a silver gryphon set inside a ruby circle.

Hit:
Advancing on his foe, the silver knight exclaims, "I shall always be triumphant!" and then slashes a scruffy and muscled warrior miniature with his wickedly curved falchion!

Miss:
You press a small button on the back of the silver knight miniature.
Striding forward, the silver knight miniature takes a confident swing and utterly misses! The knight shouts, "Miss? I never miss! That was a practice swing!"

Defeat:
A blue-cloaked silver knight miniature clutches his chest and exclaims, "Alas, I have fallen!" and then falls forward flat on his face.

a steel-piped decrepit flame cannon

Show:
A large drum rests on the back of this cobweb-covered wheeled platform. A system of pumps and bellows are attached to the drum, allowing oil from the drum to be forced through one long steel pipe and onto the battlefield. Just under the long steel pipe flickers a tiny torch. Attending to the cannon is a team of small metal zombies.

Hit:
A team of zombies furiously work the pumps and bellows of the decrepit flame cannon.
Suddenly, a hissing stream of oil whooshes down the main pipe. Upon contact with the torch, the oil ignites, unleashing a torrent of flame onto a blue-spotted purple octopus miniature!

Miss:
A team of zombies furiously work the pumps and bellows of the decrepit flame cannon.
Suddenly, a bellow fails, lowering pressure and setting two of the crew aflame! The zombies groan, "Fire bad!" and quickly begin slapping out the blazes.

a hulking black siege engine

Show:
The black wrought iron used to construct this ballista lends it a menacing air, an effect that is heightened by the two curved bat wings that serve as the crossbars for the ballista itself. In the ballista payload, lie a number of sharpened razor-bats, ready to be delivered onto an approaching army. Manning the ballista are a crew of decaying ghouls.

Hit:
The crew pulls back the crank and readies the engine to fire.
The ghouls fire the ballista, unleashing a horde of black razor-bats that soar through the sky and impale a blue-spotted purple octopus miniature in dozens of places!

Miss:
The crew pulls back the crank and readies the engine to fire.
As one of the ghouls pulls the firing lever, another ghoul accidentally steps in front of the ballista and is cut to pieces by the razor-bats! The remaining crewmembers reassemble their fallen comrade and prepare to ready the ballista again.

a reinforced mithril cow launcher

Show:
This heavily modified miniature catapult has been reinforced in key sections with strong braces of mithril. The ash grey cupola has been carved into the shape of a skeletal hand, and the launcher's wheels have been painted to resemble tiny skulls. A team of small metal skeletons sit on the launcher, prepared to ready the bovine ammo and fire at a moment's notice.

Hit:
A team of skeletons load a cow into the launcher, then ready it to fire!
A skeleton pulls the firing lever, sending the cow arcing through the air with a long "Mooooo!" before impacting the the sand-covered castle's outer walls and leaving a gaping hole!

Miss:
A team of skeletons load a cow into the launcher, then ready it to fire!
Suddenly, a rope on the mithril cow launcher snaps and the cow is hurtled into the distance with a final "Mooooo!"

an ancient gloomy black keep

Show:
The small keep appears quite decrepit at first glance -- its towering spires and turrets suffering the inexorable signs of centuries' ruin while cobwebs liberally drape across their reinforced surfaces. Miniature metal bats flit around its towers, while gravestones peek up from the ground outside its wrought-iron gate. A tiny coach and buggy stands within its inner courtyard, the driver appearing pale and translucent.

A swarm of bats pour from the keep's turrets and gather up bricks, dropping them in place and repairing the inner keep!

Updated the listing slightly, the winner will receive the auto-repair case regardless of buyout or not. Must have missed that in the editing, sorry!

What happens with two S rank battle mini's go up against each other?

What happens with two S rank battle mini's go up against each other?

When it comes down to two S Class minis (or two sets of those minis, castles, siege engines etc) competing against each other the main factors are the type of mini that is being matched up, and then that specific mini's stats (which are improved via combat with other minis)

Using the set above for example, the knight would have an advantage in being able to take more hits than the others before it is disabled. The octopus' (wizard) defense would keep it from being hit period, and the brassomorph (sorceror) would do the most damage per strike.

Once you take the base model advantages of the miniature, you also add in any bonuses that the mini may have earned through combat. Using the above set as another example, the knight would initially have more hit points than a regular Bemm mini, but it would also have bonuses to its defense and damage per swing because it has been improved via many victories.

So that's the semi-long answer.

The short answer is "It'd be like the end of the first Highlander."

So one of them would cut the other's head off and become a god?

Right down to the soundtrack by Queen, yep.

Would it also be like the end of the first highlander in that, a while later your minis would fight again and pretend that the first fight never happened? And that, you are, in fact not aliens from prison or something?

...fucking highlander continuity.

That would be the second highlander.

lets also not forget the 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th. Or the what, 5 seasons?

There's another movie sitting in development. Not sure if it's a new take or a reboot...

I think we're all pretty tired of the same ideas getting rehashed, but if any series needs a clean slate...it's Highlander. Read the synopsis for the last couple movies and weep.

The HERT organization in Solhaven is hosting a siegery tournament tomorrow evening at 8:30pm, May 5th at the Watchtower.

I'll be bringing these miniatures there for those that wish to see them in action!

Tonight's tournament was a lot of fun, thanks for all who came by!

(I missed a few of the posts about Highlander sequels. I'll comment by saying that A) Asking someone if there were ever any sequels to Highlander is a good test for possible androids ala Blade Runner and B) It is a shame that "There can be only one." was only a tagline for the first movie and not a motto that should have been followed to the letter.)

I still hurt from the thrashing I took in the first round.

My altered, semi-Bemmified sorcerer based mini didn't even touch your damn knight.

I'm curious as how much an off the shelf mini can ultimately be upgraded. As far as I know, the only differences between the various classes is how much of an upgrade that Bemm would do to each stat. It might be possible that through hours of fighting and meticulous record-keeping, one could turn an off the shelf into an S-Class mini.

(But it'd probably be quicker to just buy this set.)

Lots of inquiries and looks, but no bids. Is a sports analogy in order?

Off the shelf minis = high school football
Bemmified Minis = college football
Super Bemmified = NFL
This Set = Super Bowl Winning Team Consisting Entirely of Mike Ditkas.
