Eh. I still view it as a "Wait, but I know black people." That girl should've said two words that weren't Happy Channukah, or, better yet, said nothing.

Word. The dude is prepped with with Speech 101 fallback crap that's working. I have to admit that it isn't easy to spontaneously learn how to throw up the third finger in a groomed auditorium featuring so-and-so if you believe yourself to be in erudite mode.

...Then again, part of me envies being naïve enough to get passionate, in any way shape or form, when the politics of liberal arts gets thrown in your face.

I find it disheartening when a people who were once oppressed become themselves the oppressors. As much as I feel for Israel I just can't see them as the underdog when compared to the Palestinians. I agree with Dr. Finkelstein that Jews, who have suffered so much should be more sympathetic to the plight of their neighbors.
