This post isn't for most of you that read these boards on a regular basis. But anyway, I have been running into a lot of rogues that have no clue what gld stance does. I even had one guy get nasty with me, since I was explaining "idiot mechanics" to him, he thought I was talking about regular stancing. Even after I explained it to him, he thought it was no big deal, and that I was just trying to chastise him or something.

For anyone who is new to the guild or to the rogue profession, type gld stance help in game. Not only are reps easier to complete, but it uses less stamina. Furthermore, it also demonstrates you have a working knowledge of the game which is greater than a kobold.

USAGE: GLD STANCE (stance desired)
OFFENSIVE 100% of total skill
ADVANCE 85% of total skill
FORWARD 70% of total skill
NEUTRAL 55% of total skill
GUARDED 40% of total skill
DEFENSIVE 25% of total skill

Unlike your regular stance, guild stance affects your defense against guild skills as if you were simply less skilled. The stance names are simply the same for the sake of being easily remembered.

The purpose of guild stance is to enable highly skilled guild members to teach less skilled guild members, even if their normal guild defenses are too powerful otherwise.

Changing your guild stance will also affect the amount of experience you gain when training in guild skills with a partner.

Your current guild stance is offensive.

When did defensive get added? I seem to recall guarded being the lowest you could go.

Less than that I think. It was added so a capped character could help a level 20 character.
