Considering freeing up locker space and whittling down my sword collection to those I use.
Looking for offers or suggestions on opening bids on the following.
You tap a shadowy urglaes longsword, which is in your right hand.
+12/+12 defender - 5lbs
a superior maoral-hilted golvern longsword
5x - Super bubble flares - 5lbs - obviously player forged
an elegant crimson eahnor longsword with a golden asp wrapped around it
+18 - Paralyze flares - snake scripts - 4lbs

Heh... Ive got super-bubbles on my perfect 7x longsword LOL
They are pureawsomenous.. and anyone who doesn't want this is LOONY >_<
3-5mil - because it's urnon? and +24 total. Kinda low AS bonus though.
No idea - What do Super bubble flares do?
1 mil... maybe. Due to the odd flares and it being eahnor?

Well, an application of Super Bubble Flares sold for 25 mil at the auction so that should give you some idea.
When they flare they give you 60 seconds of exceptional? (+30 points) of damage padding.
The quote from the GM was something to the effect of - "My bubble flares add heavy damage padding and these super bubble flares are three times as effective."
If someone has a log of the auction that quote will be in there.

Not urnon, urglaes.
Super flares flare a Damage padding. it works with any other padding you have as well. I had it flare 12 times in about 30 min, or one hunt. so almost half the hunt I was protected by it. Sadly I don't get hit, but I have been told VHDP to EDP by various GM's.
Good to know. I knew the lesser bubble flares were +10 Dmg padding. Super would be 30 points then. Not bad.
But, on a 5x longsword. I don't think you'd get 25mil.
At least not from me where I don't have to much use for it.
10mil-15mil I can see, perhaps. Maybe 20-25mil if someone is really excited about super bubble flares, or you got a bid war going, or if it was on a higher enchant weapon.

I think a longsword is one of the better weapons for bubble flares. It's a great weapon for a twc user who fights from the open. With a ton of mstriking, as is typical for that build style, they'll get a lot of flares and thus a lot of protection out of it.

My bubble sword is my offhand weapon, and my coraesine longsword as my main. Since I don't have any cooldown period, and the mstrike repeat strikes are insane.. I spend most of my fight protected, which is nice when Im in a camp and getting swarmed. Those bastards can heap on some damage.

Yeah those bubble flares would be amazing for a TWC mstrike build warrior.
There is always the question of "do i get crit or damage padding?" for warriors. Well, if you have bubble flares...you effectively have both. Get crit padded plate, and that much damage padding from bubble flares would really be more than you would ever need in most circumstances.

Pull the hat trick with some flaring plate and GoS hcp!

Hence.. My masterfully crit padded hauberk *cabbage patch*
I admit.. occasionally the room swarms SO heavily that the multiple attacker modifier gets excessive, at which point I have to step out, wait a count of 5 then run back in.. LOL.. yeah.. it's chicken shit.. but I REALLY fucking hate getting torn to pieces and having my fragmented corpse raped repeatedly :)

pretty sick setup.
Our of curiosity do you always use the bubble flarer to keep it refreshing as much as possible or do you swap it out for something more offensive after it procs?
I think my dream setup would be a pimped out splitting katar/sai I was bonded to w/ a bubble weapon to swap in until the proc occurs, in flared plate w/ HCP from sunfist.

For reference, the super bubble flares are EXPERT (30 pts) damage padding. The regular bubble flares are HEAVY (10 pts) damage padding. I know this is true for the most recent event, but not for the flares that went out at EG.

yeah.. I pretty much stay with the coraesine and the bubbles.. the damage I inflict with the coraesines multi swings, its air-flares, and the protection provided by nonstop super bubbles MORE then makes up for any perceived lack of damage from duel longswords... especially since they are 6x & 7x (the bubble is a perfect forge as well) respectively, so it has that ghost 'somewhat crit-weighted' or whatever it is effect
*cabbage patch* >_<

Regular Bubbles previously were "Heavy" as well. Trying to figure out a way to find out if these are VHDP or EDP.

I think WRoss is right that the supers are 30 points and heavy is 10. That is my recollection from the auctioneer at EG. Keep in mind though that the way damage padding works, basically anything over 6 is it? Is randomized. So regular bubble flares would be 6-10, and super bubble flares woul be 6-30. Someone chime in who has the supers?
The cool thing though is exactly what's being described, and why smaller weapons are better for bubble flares: more swings = more flares. A maul with bubble flares is worth less than a longsword with the same bubble flares, all other things being equal.
