My girl is a huge book worm and shy. So my question is... What would YOU wear if you were an elf and a book worm. I can only wear robes for so long... You don't have to go into specifics, but ideas to help me spark some alterations would be really nice.

Think about her personality.

Is she a librarian type? Is she a crazy cat-lady spinster librarian? Is she a libriarian that reads dirty Harlequin novels disguised with dust covers of "smart" books?

Is she a prude? Schoolgirl type? Nun type? Proper british lady type?

Just off the top of my head.

oh well I could tell you tons about her. Ok... Lets see. She's younger, and yearns to learn more then anything. I wouldn't call her prude, but you're not going to be getting any Nnngh logs out of here any time! XD She tries to be very proper. Ta'Ardenai elf. She is very content with being by herself, and is very quiet and shy to people she doesn't know. Erm... What else. But she is also a ranger, and doesn't mind getting her hands dirty if she has to. To her friends she is a bit more ruthless.

She sounds like she's a practical sort. Being a ranger and shy, I would stick to natural materials (skins, furs, leather, that sort of thing) in natural colors. Nothing dyed bright, attention-grabbing colors. Accessories I would keep very simple, and limit fluff to three items at the MOST, but more likely one or two for day-to-day. Clothes that are pretty in their own way, but very simple. She might have a couple of fancy outfits, but sounds like she might feel awkward in them and like everyone is staring at her (regardless if they are or are not).

If she's a bookish type, I'd say go with linens and such. More comfortable for sitting around in a library in, and still natural materials.

Bored while waiting for Ryelle. If this doesn't work and you'd like to see something else or have additional suggestions, send me a PM. =)

She is wearing a pale peach headscarf secured on one side with a laje hoop, a worn ivory doeskin bookbag over her shoulder, a thin-strapped peach silk overgown with gold scrollwork on the slanting front pockets over a short-collared ivory linen gown adorned with a ruffle of ecru lace at the hem, a square-cut polished laje band, a pair of ecru lace-trimmed socks under some dainty russet suede shoes pinned on the side with square gold buttons.

a worn, ivory doeskin, bookbag - A thick strap with double-stitching suspends the rectangular bookbag with scuffed redwood leather supporting the bottom. The ivory doeskin of the bag appears slightly worn in some areas and faded to a smooth grey. Edges of fraying canvas continue to suggest the long-term use of the bag.

a square-cut,polished laje, band - The single thick band of russet laje is highly polished, reflecting a muted glitter in any light. The two sides of the band come up to form a square-cut mount for a gem, but in place of a jewel rests a box-shaped piece of dark gold incised with an oak leaf.

First, drool at the existence of HoE.

Just popping in to say that we recently made some bookwormish stuff for the prize closet of the Beacon Hall Archive. You might have to take part in some fun little BHA event to get them but we've got some dorky reading glasses and whatnot. Drop me a line!

Also, I am a bad person. If you really want shoes you need to PM LadyLaphrael. She already came up with designs for this. =/

Oh muh gosh, I can't believe you guys are helping me so much! Heh, now I'm just going to have to become one of your posse so I can see these come true! I LOVE the bag idea. At first I was a little sketchy... But once I actually read the show, it really came to life for me.

Ok, so I've encountered a problem... In order to wear the gown... And have them layer one another, I would have to wear it in my armor slot... And although I'd love to be like you fancy ladies and change my outfits every day... I still need to be accessible to up and hunt. Any ideas on how to change the dress to something else so that it would be compatible?
