View Full Version : Firefox 4 question.

Somehow I have put FF4 into mobile mode. All webpages are completely screwed up looking. No doubt I hit <ctrl> something... As an example, I cannot see any avatars on this site. Most webpages are now completely borked. Anyone have an idea how to get it back to full webpages. I didn't download anything, not even an add-on.

Under tools, do you have a "modify header" option?

No tools option to select. I would assume in FF4 that it's under the options > options tab. I can't locate anything that indicates mobile mode, though.

I'm trying some troubleshooting, but the issue I run into is that most, if not all, the help stuff leads me to the FF4 mobile version for Android and memeo phones. It's not taking me to actual FF4 info on switching modes.

I looked on the firefox help for a mobile mode, nothing. I then googled it. Nothing.

F11, maybe? I never ran into this problem and I was gonna LetMeGoogleThatForYou you, but alas Google found nothing.

Yeah, I am mystified. F11 merely switched from partial screen to full screen mode. I don't even know that I did anything, truthfully. I was browsing a fantasy premier league website and in the midst of it, all my tabs switched to mobile mode. I've rebooted and everything, still the browser is in mobile mode.

If I can figure out how to take a screen capture, I will.

Yeah, it is.

I went through the entire list of keystroke shortcuts for FF4. There is not one listed for switching to mobile browsing. So, I don't know what I did but I do know it is in that mode currently.

I found the same question being asked on Firefox's website. So far it looks like 12 other people have it according to what I am reading. The problem looks like it began for folks on 4/1 and six people indicated this became an issue this week.

I guess I'll just reinstall the bitch.

Reinstalling did zilch.

I'm getting the exact same thing. An example of one of the issues with just this website, is that I can see WRoss' and CT's avatars, but not my own or LMingrone's here in this thread. On ESPN.com, everything is shrunk and shoved to the left side of the browser. I cannot find a modify header under Tools.

When was the last time it worked? Maybe you can do a system restore to before that.

hit the print screen button, edit->paste into Paint.net, upload

Don't even bother with Paint. Just hit print screen and paste it into the post.

Chrome did work. It's not the fix I want but it works. I'm attempting to get a screen capture, now.

ahh, that isn't a mobile function, that is a problem with interpretting some sort of programming language

Yes it's a rendering issue, not necessarily mobile mode.

Yeah it's frustrating. Nobody has any ideas? Maye I'll restore it back a day or two. See what happens.

Thanks for trying. Both of those pics are precisely how I had mine already. Pretty sure both of those are the default settings.
