Scroll combiner+ for ebow

Okay, since I've now had two people PM me asking questions, let me just do a public service announcement.

I have a scroll book. It is from the tent auction of 96 or 97. It can transfer spells from one scroll to another, as well as divine remaining charges, as well as gem powered charge adding like a charging crystal. It used to be able to transfer spells from locked scrolls to fresh scrolls, that was nerfed. Alas. But there are still uses to transfering if you know what you're doing with infusion. And you can always make uber loaded scrolls, as many as you want.

The rest of you have a scroll portfolio, there are like 5 or 6 now. It has two pages, each can hold 5 spells I think. It steals spells off scrolls to place in the portfolio. The portfolio, I believe, is nonfunctional with scroll infusion. Herachio is the one who knows the most about their function as I recall. So in the end you save 1 inventory slot by turning 2 scrolls into 1 item. You can also use it for organization, use it to store your good invasion spells, the uber loaded scrolls, but you only have the 10 slots to work with.

Just to be accurate I never sold mine, I still have it. I tried to trade it for awhile but nobody every came up with the item(s) I wanted. I did recieve offers of 75 mil from 2 different people during that time though.

V's description of it's abilities is pretty accurate although I think there is only currently 3 of them. Rather than re-post the info there is the link to the article I put up years ago, which I just updated to add the mechanical benefit section.

Only the 1 went out in EG 06, I'm not certain about 09 as I wasn't there but there is not one listed in the list on Nilandia's site (Your site is awesome!), and I went through the Droughtman lists and only saw two portfolios so far. Thus, how I came to the number 3!

Tells me what unlocking does, and what infusing does. What is the locked part? Do you have to remember how many times you have used the scroll so it doesn't lose the spell from it?

I have always just used the scrolls I find to spell myself up with and didn't worry about the scroll losing the spells. I did get one of the 1711 scrolls from tarts and he unlocked it for me. Would this mean that I can use it, and then have someone infuse mana into it to recharge it?

I'm pretty sure you must have this infused (charged) before you use it once, else it is ruined. I think I read somewhere he said 'infuse it or lose it', or at least that is how I understood it. The 'unlocked' part means that you can now ADD charges via 714. So I'm not sure if those are just blank scroll spots with no charges in them once they are unlocked or what. Even decently post cap I still don't bother with the spell scroll infusion, but I've always wondered if the spells drop off the scroll when they hit zero or if you have to keep track of what you use so it doesn't hit zero.

They will fade off the scroll, but assuming there is still mana left in the scroll's reserves you can re-infuse them and they will reappear. However, if you use every charge of every spell on the scroll, even if infused and still able to be recharged, the scroll will destroy itself.

At 101 ranks of MIU and Arcane Symbols you should have little problem infusing most spells to their max without fear of locking. Just stay away from big spells like 1619, 219, etc, and definitely stay clear of Arcane Circle spells above 10.
