Shields v GSP - Not sure on this one. I'm not a huge GSP fan and I know next to nothing about Shields. What are your thoughts on this fight?

How's the rest of the card looking?

I was up til about 1:30am last night watching some WEC from 2009, some really good fights and some brutal knockouts, and there was a commercial for this event so I figured I'd see what the rest of the PC MMA fans thought.

I do see Couture v Machida as being a good fight. Randy is old as dirt but he's still decent and Machida is coming off of 2 losses so he's going to have some fire in him.

Hopefully, you would have a good agent that would make it a handicap match where Anticor would have to fight with his arms and legs bound. That would give you at least 1 solid minute of fight time before you get your ass kicked. If I were you, I would train full cardio.. and then use that training to run around the Octagon.

Was on the floor level, but sort of in the back, my buddy was in the 3rd row an got his picture taken with Dana White and Brandon Vera.

Stayed up late last night watching a UFC 129 break down where they went over the card, showed footage of each fighter, training camps, talked to fighters, etc. It was pretty good and I think there's going to be some good fights.

Lot of people around here saying GSP in trouble tomorrow, saying no way GSP is holding Shields down. Gonna be a good one.

Not sure if Shields will be the man to beat GSP, but I think he will be his toughest test to date. Granted the commentators say that about every fight.. He was able to smother Dan Henderson at 185 lbs, and he's an olympic wrestler. Sadly, the main event will probably be the most boring fight of the night with all the other potentially exciting ones lined up. Aldo is a machine, Machida is always exciting im my opinion, though many people will strongly disagree I'm sure. Benson Henderson usually puts on good fights too.



Also just a note on one of the previous posts, Evans vs. Bones has since been scrapped due to Bones being injured... so that sucks. Evans is fighting Phil Davis now, which will probably be a more even fight.

Is there any real news on Bones? I have a feeling that him and Evans don't want to fight. Mostly Evans, because he knows he'll be destroyed. I really only pay attention to the UFC the day a fight is about to happen. I'm not even sure about the weight classes are anymore. I want to see GSP, The Spider, and Bones fight it out.

GSP takes this if he keeps distance and keeps the fight on his feet, basically sprawl and brawl. Shields wins if he turns this into a scrambling bjj fight. Shields standup is garbage, but his ground game is several levels above GSP.
