So, what are you favorite moments in Sports? Either from your lifetime or before. Post a video link if you can.
Here are some of mine. By no means are these the top, well, maybe the two swimming ones, but just ones I can find.
1) 4 x 100 free relay, 2008 Olympics. Jason Lezak anchors to win gold for the US
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rg9lCvAvBdg
2) 100 butterfly, 2008 Olympics. Phelps keeps his gold medal contention alive.

3) Appalachian State blocks field goal to beat #1 Michigan.

4) 1999 US vs China in the Women's World Cup

5) Tim Tebow's pledge to win the 2008 National Title

I'm sure there are a lot more that I am missing and I'll think of them later. I'd love to see what you all can think of.

Twins beat Tigers in game 163 in 2009. Was at that game and it was amazing. The rest of the post season sucked, but that game was special. Last game in the Metrodome being a game 163 was kind of nifty too. That old piece of crap stadium didn't want to give up the ghost.

Superbowl XXV. I ran to my bedroom and covered my ears when the Bills were kicking the field goal. My mom had to pull me out of my bed to tell me they missed it. I ran around like a maniac.
Superbowl XLII. Everyone around me at a huge party were all betting on the Patriots. When the Giants won me and my friend head butted each other, and the five girls/guys betting on the Giants went into a frenzy that eventually led to a bunch of injuries.
Edit: And obviously all the UCONN wins. :p

I don't watch football, but this sure was exciting. I was happy to be with such a jubilant crowd, and then with the firetrucks and police cars whooping their sirens and the whole city being ecstatic and giddy the next day, it was a nice change of pace from the usual rudeness. Plus I think Eli is a cutie.

It is one of the most iconic events in sports history. It is the one thing people likely know about CRMK.
The thing people likely don't know is that he wasn't ejected after throwing a chair across the court. He remained on the sidelines and continued arguing. He had to get another technical before he was finally kicked out.

He told me many stories about officiating. About that one, the only thing I remember is that he wanted to kick him out of the game, but there were no rules about that at the time. You'll see where Woody Hayes starts to walk out of the stadium, but decides to stay. That is right after he is told to leave by my grandfather.

I think Denis Leary once said that the only time a man's allowed to cry is at a famous sport guy's retirement.
But, even though it's already been mentioned, the kick heard round the world, the laces were in! But obviously for different reasons, that loss in Super Bowl XXV when I was 9 molded my childhood, and tested the steel of a rust belt city.
Also, the greatest comeback ever, Bills vs. Oilers, 1992 AFC Wild Card. Down 35-3 in the third quarter, our backup QB and backup RB led us to a 41-38 OT win.

(this line represents deleted remarks questioning just how god damn big a soccer goal can possibly be and declarations that phenomenal swimming ability should not be considered a sport but rather an immigration and national security issue)
Bills vs. Oilers was obviously a bigger defecit but that Eagle vs. Giant comeback was just stunning when taking into account the amount of time left. 31-10 with 7:40 remaining to a 31-38 upset still in regulation. Final play of the game already posted... bobbled punt return resulting in a walk-off TD.
I also really liked the Giants vs. Pats in that "perfect year" last regular season game that had no postseason implications for either team and they both fought it out risking injuries to starters the whole way. Kept waiting for one team to flinch and pull their guys but neither side did.

I can top that. I was living in Barcelona during that whole season (2007-2010...actually I was working in a lab at the University of Barcelona Biology Campus which is literally across the street from Camp Nou). I watched that game in the bar that was two floors down from my apartment in downtown Barcelona.
It...was...epic. The largest coordinated explosion of sound and activity in a single instant in time that I have ever, probably ever will witness.
Thousands, and thousands, and thousands of people converging on downtown barcelona to sing, drink and party until the sun rose.

If that was in the US we'd add flip and burn cars and break windows and loot shops to the celebration.
Growing up in Boston thru the 70s and on up, Fisk's homer was epic, Orr's Goal was incredible, but the Sox overcoming the 3 game defecit vs the Yanks and then winning the series and breaking the curse is an easy top choice.
Miracle on Ice is a pretty close second though.

Never heard a pop like that in my life. I was on my feet (okay I was swaying a lot) roaring.
As an aside, this was a pretty badly botched spot. Shango (later the Godfather) was supposed to interupt Hogan's pin but missed his cue. So a great deal of this was ad-libbed. Warrior had been gone for a year over a money dispute and this being pre-internet it was a complete shock for the audience.

Heh, 10 points still isn't 5 goals 5 different ways. And I agree, Don Cherry is a fool. He's reminds me of a professional wrestling announcer. Just says whatever will rile the crowd up, and doesn't care how stupid what he is saying really is. Every time he says "Original six" I want to kick his teeth in. Get over it, there's 5x the teams now than there was then.

Ovechkin? Who is he? Really, that piece of shit just sucked this past season. Sure, he calls himself "The Great Eight" but... in order to be great, you gotta win something, and that Russian piece of shit never has, and never will win anything. His attitude sucks, he's not a team player, and he acts like every goal he scored is a game winner in game 7 of the cup finals (which he's never experienced.) Yeah, that guy is a phenomenal athlete.
Ryan Lotche is going to be the highlight reel in the 2012 Olympics. Also, my favorite swim of the last Olympics was Eric Shanteau. He was diagnosed with testicular cancer a month before Olympic Trials. What did he do? Dropped 4 seconds (huge drop for any nationally ranked swimmer) and made the Olympic Team. He said, "Fuck you cancer, you have to wait until I'm done" and went to the Olympics. I swam against him growing up and he is one incredibly determined individual. I'd imagine you'll see him next Olympics as well.
One last swimming thought. There are a few guys who all teenagers now who are re-writing Phelps' age group records. I'd imagine they will be around by the 2016 Olympics.
Bo Jackson...so many baseball highlights. Running up the wall, the throw to the plate from the wall on the fly, beating out a routine grounder to 2nd easily, breaking bats over his knee and helmet. Towering homers. He made Royals games fun to watch. Used to love going to Kaufman to watch him play.

1:09 mark to see him run up the side of the wall.
3:27 mark to see him run over Bosworth at the endzone. One of the best Monday Night Football Highlights of all time.
