Hi everyone,

I don't know if anyone else would be interested, but considering they have 'minisimucons' other places, those of us stuck in the NW corner of the US should have one.

I live in the Seattle area, and I know a few of you do as well, but I know there are some of you in Oregon, and possibly B.C.? Not that it would be limited to certain places, and I'm really not that great at organizing... but, I'm just putting it out there.

Would anyone else be interested? It could be a day thing, an overnight thing, or... nothing....

Tisket and Hedensk both live around there I think.

We did it a few years ago but I think any of us really liked each other. :P

I'm down in Oregon, I know there are a few of us around here. If it was relatively close to home I'd be happy to meet up with people, but no car makes even Seattle a bit of a pain. If the Portland area works for most everyone though I'd be happy to look into places we could go.

I have the car but seriously, you and I can't even get together on a regular basis and we live just across the river from each other! I'd be up for it, I guess.
Only thing is, if we try to meet in the middle, we end up somewhere very strange.

I think the middle would put us somewhere around...Centralia? And yeah, I vote no on Centralia. I think there's a McMenamin's there...and that's about it. Though, come to think of it, a McMenamin's wouldn't be the worst place to get together.

You DO have a map with pushpins marking every female (and a couple of the male) PCers on your wall. I knew it!

We can all hang out in Kalama. It has a gas station.

Looks like they have the Burger Bar there too!

I think the vast majority of the PC would be happy to hang out with Hedensk anywhere she wanted.

I'm scared, I didn't realize this many people that played GS live near me.

If we are going to do this, we should post it on the officials for those who do not grace us with their presence here. The last time we had a pretty good turnout.

Everyone waits for me to leave the NW to start talk about a gathering, huh?

Don't worry, I don't think anything is going to happen, so you won't be missing out!

Feel free to hop over to the NE instead and meet us for drinks. Jay and Sean and I are always up for it. I promise not to take anyone to the Asian trannies unless they ask for it this time.

Why would you say that? We just need for the weather to figure out what it's going to finally decide on and I think everyone will be out of the rainy day funk.

I'm north of Seattle but would be interested in a gathering, not necessarily in Centralia, though...eww....

The weather finally decides on something in the Pacific NW?

I think any gathering missed the one sunny day we'll have this month. ;) Today, though, was beautiful out.

Yesterday was nice. Today is pretty crappy so far, but it is only 730am...

It's that time of year when it can't make up it's mind one minute to the next. It looks like the sun might be trying here today.

I'd come to a shindig somewhere, should be fun.

I'm also in Portland, and also surprised about how many of us are here... Not sure if scared is the right word but maybe concerned, lol.

Alright, seems there's enough interested to do SOMETHING. If you want to talk about it, im me at misungrace and we'll get something going.

Was gonna say, you can't live up here and wait on the weather to improve before making plans. You'd be damn well waiting for a long as time. :)

I'm not a true PNW'er. Even after living her for many years, I still find it hard to get motivated in the rain. I fail, I know but I still don't own an umbrella so I do fit in somewhat.

That said, let's do this if you guys are interested. I'll help arranging something. Just let me know.

LOL! I know! It was supposed to rain and instead if was sunny. So my bitching to the prop manager was all a waste for them to hurry up and get the guys out here to fix the roof damage from the weekend. Of course now its supposed to rain today or it was but glancing at my weather tracker I see that for central WA the rain has moved to Saturday.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised lots of people around Portland/Seattle play GS.

We never like to leave our homes! Something about it not getting above 50 degrees in like 9 months. Except for that one glorious 70 degree weekened.

That said, I'll keep lurking this thread to watch for anyone motivated/brave enough to try to organize something worth the 5-6 hour drive for me from Spokane.

Well, I put my sn out there but have only heard from one person so far. I'm up for organizing something but I need some input from everyone. I know of three people, including myself, in Portland who are up for it. Once I get more input, I can start really getting some organization.

Once again, my sn is misungrace so let me know.

Just did some researching and it looks like there is a decent little place in Chehalis called The Shire. http://www.theshirebarandbistro.com/

This is if we are going to do a 'meet in the middle thing'. I now of plenty around Portland if people are willing to travel here.

That looks cool, not a bad drive for either city. PDX folks can carpool with me if they'd like-- well... Three of you, anyhow =)

I'm amused that a restaurant halfway between here and Seattle actually has a Hobbit theme, lol.
