You should try to 1.5x shield, that's the baseline if I remember correctly.

Did some quick calculations..

Level 30, 20 strength bonus and 30 dexterity bonus, using a tower shield and 1x: 28 shield DS in offensive stance, 47 in defensive

Same scenario, 2x shield: 42 shield DS in offensive stance, 75 in defensive

Drop armor to 1x
Drop AUR a bit
Drop INF a bit
Drop INT by about 15

You'll want to stick with smaller shields anyway so it'll interfere less with your dodging.

As a side note is there any particular reason your sticking with the old sword/board style of training? There's so many new paths now that make it look bland. As a rogue especially you have so, so many options available.

I'm actually re-rolling my rogue and I am leaning more towards fighting rather than picking, but still want to. Edaarin where would those extra points go, into WIS? Also I like the sword and shield I have now so I don't intend on changing OHE. Would the best choice be to drop armor to 1x and raise shield to 2x?

I'd boost WIS and DIS with those points.

Personally, I would look into picking up some cman, but thats me, I happen to like all the things cman does for my squares. Just MHO.
