Curious to value these, not likely to sell, but I might. Self-mana 107 pin worn glove and a 6x (+20) old style claid, assuming new mechanics/whatnots have not changed it.

Nice claid.

Do you know if the pin is "new" style self-mana or "old?" (7 or 14 mana per use?)
I like.

What's the metal/description?

Is the claid blood engorged?

I'd put the 6x claid around 80m or so. Claid market has dropped a bit, even for the higher enchant ones. Pin is probably worth around 10-20, depending on the market. Could always 1 coin it and offer trades as BO and see what happens.

The 107 glove I know is 1x mana, raise to use, a gold-strapped blue leather glove, I think, as for the claid, I haven't activated that old account yet, but it used to be a shaalk blade but was merchant enchanted and then foolishly converted (yes, I thought it was a good idea back then) to vultite, and is something like an iron-handled vultite claidhmore or so.
Just trying to get an estimate on values, thanks for all the input.

I recently paid 15m for an old style self-mana 406. Most of the other folks bidding on it were all around that price, so I'd say I paid a little above the actual value of that piece.
Your 107 glove is better, so take it from there. I'd easily place a 18-20m bid, but that's me.
I find it's almost impossible to accurately predict what something will sell for at auction because we're selling things that don't trade hands in volume every day - these "items" are incredibly rare. Like art. Not to mention we all value silvers differently.
Hope this helps a little and give you a starting point for that glove.

You bought that from me. ; ) And, thank you for your evaluation, it seems most accurate.

Hah!
I'm a terrible bookkeeper. I love it by the way.
Let me know if you want to sell that pin. ;)

I'm confused, it was converted from shaalk to vultite and is still oldstyle?
You need to see if that is right by inspecting to see if it is a claid or greatsword base or hit stuff and check the AvD.

Guess you'll have to settle for drunk, annoying and retarded. The claid market has only dropped for those 3x on down due to the treasure system. Treasure system doesn't drop 6x old style claids, so that market is intact, if not better than ever. This claid is worth 100m easy.

He means the metal was converted, they've been doing that since de-ICE, so it would have definitely stayed old style if he converted if a long time ago since new style is fairly recent.
Also wraithbringer, the market on claids has dropped not because of the treasure system, but because people have realized how much superior mauls/mattocks are under the gemstone IV combat system.

You've got your opinion, I've got mine. He requested it, I gave it. Best believe I'd get 100m+ out of that claid.
Sure, I believe you'd list it for 3 years and keep bumping it.

Considering there is mattocks that are 4x and 30+ points around... which in a sense is better then a 6x claid if not around the same damage... mattocks and mauls are better regardless I recently sold a 4x 30 point mattock for 60 or so it really depends on the buyer to be honest

Another point alot of the older claids only have 30 points of weighting would suck to get the weapon out and it only has 30 points

Yeah, a 4x greatsword with 30 points of weighting would indeed suck. You're right about the price though, totally depends on the buyer. 50-60m is what I would price it at.

I have seen all of 3 claids of any age that have less then claid weighting, and a 6x true claid weighted weapon would have the instant bonus of being the best claid available, and no matter how silly it is, the best items of any type generally sell for ridiculous premiums. I wouldn't be stunned if it got 100-110m and would value it 90-100, especially considering the last 4x I saw sell got 55m.
A 6x old-style claidh wouldn't be the best claidh (old or new) in the game.
It wouldn't even come close to the best greatsword, either.

Pretty sure he said available, not in the game.
I'm sure Ardwen knows there are better weapons, but will never move.

I know there are both better greatswords, depending on persepective there, and better or equal claids, seeing I own own, that makes at least one. However in general almost all the great old weapons havent moved in years, wont move in years, and arent available, a clear F for reading comprehension I think.

What greatsword is better? The coraesine?
Ardwen
04-07-2011, 06:03 PM
as I said depending on perspective, some people would call sorrow itelf better, eye of the beholder and all that. and trained right the Cor is better to some too I would imagine
I wouldn't be surprised at all to see the claid fetch around 100m if it is in fact greatsword base and 40 points of weighting. Shit like that doesn't come around often at all, and lots of people (myself included) like to buy 'unique' items. There are also quite a few melee folks who don't like mauls/mattocks because despite being superior, they're seen as trendy. Might not be the best time with the market all wonky, but a no buyout auction is really the only way to find the value of such a rarely sold item.
