A grooved golvern knife with a carved black ash handle
5x dagger with immobilization flares that go off prior to the attack/ambush swing, allowing it to flare even on a missed strike. Functions against PCs if you're into that sort of thing.
Getting a feel for the value since I've had a few parties express interest

Ask Lucos, he'd be your best bet for this.

Have you tested the duration of the bind? Use it on a PC a few times and see how long the bind lasts. Definitely a nifty dagger, though it'd be moreso if it weren't scripted AND flaring. That won't matter that much to most people, but it pretty much means you can't do anything to it other than further enchant it. My first thought was, "what a great weapon to pair with a chronomage dagger...

Against a PC that was 16 levels below me (and on a critter that was 94 levels below me) the bind seemed to max out at 50 seconds. Against another capped PC, the bind lasted about 5 seconds, which is obviously still plenty of time to get another attack in at 3 seconds of RT, much less whatever off-hand weapon you might be toting.
I'll see if I've got anyone in my stock with enough TWC to test if the flare goes off prior to both swings, or if it interrupts the flow after the right hand swings.

Based on my reading of Sirina's comment on the officials, the script IS the bind and the flare , akin to snakeyweapon2 or the like. You really can't get 2 flares, or a weighted and flaring weapon. Its POSSIBLE to do, but I can't think of any that could possibly get approved.
Using your chronomage dagger example its the same thing, the return is part of the script AND its time-travel flare, whereas returners and bandoliers could have anything added to them by a creating GM or merchant as the return is the script and they were built to be customizable.
Its just old and she's said multiple times they aren't going to recode them to do things that could be done, and given how many old items have been brought out of mothballs, understandable.

Yeah that's largely the same impression I got, and is why I asked the question. Still a very fine dagger.

The binding flare will come after the first attack but before the second attack if used in the off-hand with TWC.
Despite the discussion, nobody's thrown any numbers out, so I may just put this up in the high-end thread later today and let the dice roll.
