The mold appears to be a black iron orb about fist-sized and hinged on one side. A clearly visible seam suggests that the orb can be opened into two halves. A short, sharp-edged tube protrudes from one side of the orb and is bisected by the seam.

With the mold opened into its two halves, the internal workings are fairly evident. The short cutting tube now lies in two halves and a wide channel extends from each of them to the forming cavity in the mold's center. Made up of scores of tiny movable surfaces, the forming cavity currently resembles a shark.

Partially visible behind the surfaces are toothed gears and guide channels. Between the inner workings and the mold's black iron skin, a good third of the mold's volume is filled with coarsely ground pumice.

There is nothing in there.

Different shapes: a dragon, a shark, a tiger, a bull, a dagger, a waraxe, a spear, a bow, a dirk, a shield, a lance, a arrow, a heart, a star, a tower, a scroll, a quill, a tart, a cookie, a wand, a ship, a rose, a tulip, a daisy, a flute, a lute, a lyre, a harp, a mug, a stein, a gate, a swan, a wolf, a falcon, a hawk, a eagle, a deer, a stag, a puma, a boar, a bear, a owl, a troll, a orc, a kobold, a wraith, a ghoul, a whale, a kraken, a thrak, a spider, a bat, a cat, a cobra, a snake, a wasp, a wyvern.

With a quick twist of the wrist, you slice into the glaes orb and tilt the joined spheres so the orb is higher than the mold. The weight of the glaes orb shifts to the mold as the orb collapses in upon itself. You catch a glimpse of molten glaes flowing down the channel tube of the mold as you discard the worthless husk that was a glaes orb just moments before.

Time passes as you wait for the mold and its contents to cool...

1. With the mold opened into its two halves, the internal workings are fairly evident. The short cutting tube now lies in two halves and a wide channel extends from each of them to the forming cavity in the mold's center. Made up of scores of tiny movable surfaces, the forming cavity currently resembles a kraken.

Partially visible behind the surfaces are toothed gears and guide channels. Between the inner workings and the mold's black iron skin, a good third of the mold's volume is filled with coarsely ground pumice.

In the buckle mold you see an attractive glaes kraken buckle.

In the buckle mold you see a delicate glaes kraken buckle.

That was with the same type of orbs, a reticulated glaes orb.

This mold will make buckles from wasp nest orbs from the isle. Some will be imbeddable, what orb is used will make each one unique. Very easy to use. The buckles can also be sold at the pawnshop.

As you sing, you feel a faint resonating vibration from the glaes kraken buckle in your hand, and you learn something about it...

This is a small item, under a pound. In your best estimation, it's worth about 1,300 silvers.

As you sing, you feel a faint resonating vibration from the glaes kraken buckle in your hand, and you learn something about it...

From the pitch of the vibration you determine that the purpose of the buckle is as an implement for use by a mage or other spell-user.

Whats it worth?

get an orb from a nest, get a dagger type, put cut my orb with my dagger, watch liquid mold splash on the ground as "you don't have a proper receptacle"

I always found these molds pretty neat. They're definitely an old item and I'm only aware of maybe 3-4 existing. They were extra cool when it was super rare for an item to make other items.

Now, I'd imagine they'd run about the same as a tart kiln, maybe a bit more given the rarity and possibility of imbeds. Getting the wasp orbs can also be a pain in the ass.

I'd say you could safely start it around 10M and maybe it'd hit around 15 - 20?

Just guesstimating as I haven't seen one of those sell in ages.

Unless you want to sell it to me for like 5...because I'm poor...lollerskates.

stares at bank account withdrawl for tart kiln.
