Won this tonight. It's nifty, but I don't have any archers.

glance
You glance down to see a thin-grained sephwir light crossbow inlaid with curled mithril scrollwork

look cross
You glance at a thin-grained sephwir light crossbow inlaid with curled mithril scrollwork. The sephwir light crossbow has a small windlass attached to it. It seems to be in fine working order, the cording recently replaced and the crank and winch well oiled.

rub cross
You polish your sephwir light crossbow with your hand, trying to remove all the imperfections.

tap cross
You scrutinize the tiller of your crossbow, occasionally running your thumb along the crossbow's surface, looking for flaws.

turn cross
Your grab the windlass attached to the crossbow and turn it, smoothly cocking it.
Roundtime: 3 sec. (3 sec. time even if you are weak - won't pull you from hiding, etc.)

push cross
Carefully planting your foot firmly on the ground, you brace the prod of your crossbow against it securely. With the ease of long practice you slip the bowstring from one nock, twist it several times to tighten, and slide the knot's loop back into position.

pluck cross
You give your crossbow string a good pluck, testing it for proper tension.
The string makes a high pitched *twang* as you release it. (This also works from hiding (no pull) or invisible)

You hear a high pitched *twang* coming from somewhere nearby.

toss cross
You toss your crossbow a few inches in the air, catching it adroitly as you swing it around and sight down its length.

point cross at cece
You carefully sight down your sephwir light crossbow and along the shaft at Cecelia.

Took it for a test drive with my wizard that had a few TPs to spare:

[Melgorehn's Valley, Grasslands]
The grass waves about you, rustling in the breeze. In the distance you can hear the river running, and the call of the occasional frog. A headless, dead fish lies on the ground, toothmarks evident in the body. Whatever took a bite from this fish had very large teeth. You also see a lesser orc and a lesser orc.
Obvious paths: north, southeast

I have to say for never playing with a bow - it was kinda fun - well haste is always fun.

Not even sure this is viable to begin with thanks to the base, but I'd go 10m if it ever came down to it.

Without the windlass, crossbows are frustrating to use.

With the windlass, this light crossbow is comparable to a bow if you're concerned about RT.

I'll bid 15 million but only because it's a light crossbow. Not trying to be insulting by the way :)

No problem! Everything seems to be going through PM on this - I have a BO offer over the minimum bid - and multiple trade offers. I buy quite a bit on the PC - but I rarely sell anything. What's gonna happen is I'll get an offer I like and that will be that . . .

Crossbow has been bought out for over the MB. Both buyer and seller are happy. Thanks for the interest!

I like that spell prep alter. What's it look like from the third person?

Terrygan snaps her fingers. Her eyes flare suddenly with ethereal blue lambency, and a slight breeze tugs at her hair.
>Terrygan gestures.
Terrygan looks considerably more imposing.

Thanks - the idea was mine - and the GM did a nice job making it come to life.

Whoever has this crossbow, I'd like to talk to you in PM's about it if you don't mind.

I've been rather busy trying to find my old one, and this is as close to it as I can get, so if you wish to, send me a PM and we can talk some more, thanks!

Keep all your fucking retard posts in the old thread please with Coin....Christ.

Current Bid: 750 AD

Buyout: 1500

Ends tonight at Midnight.

HAH!

So lets see if we all have this strait, you make a post for a sale with a low MB, MB is met, you set a date for when the sale will end, that date passes, you say the highest bidder pulled out, but set another value well above your MB as the only value you'll take and you'll hold out for that value. You then say you didn't say that when called out on your bullshit.

Then you say you have a mystery bidder at a value above the last public legit bid... but that the sale isn't over yet... weird. Then you get another legit bid and try to milk more money out of it by not ending the auction just yet.

This is all on GS characters... as far as other sales, you completely dicked over Tisket (no question about it, what you did was a dick move). Shitstain type merchantism means you'll never sell anything to her again, you seem to think that "life happens" excuses you from informing your customers of delays, and that it's perfectly okay to try to ask for more money after a sale has completed.

Oh, and lets not forget that you seem to be under the impression your reputation is actually good.

You're a thief, widgets. You'll try to do enough business to build your rep, then you'll steal again. Whoever does business with you should demand cash in an envelope delivered by bike messenger before handing over anything in game.
