You'll be getting a 19% increase (I think that's the messaging for 19% increase at least) the most frequently.

Sunfist members might be able to keep chiseling with Sigil of Determination (lasting 5 minutes for 30 stamina) instead of having to fuck around with an empath.

This means you'll rarely get a 49% increase and rarely blow up the gem entirely. You'll mostly be increasing the gem value by 19%.

This is one of those items you'll never, ever, make your money back on if you intend never to sell the chisel. However, if you buy it with the intent to make about 20m, which is selling roughly 105m worth of gems, then selling the chisel to come out reasonably ahead.

Although, owning a chisel comes with increasing your e-peen 2-4 inches!

As I understand it, there are absolutely no diminishing returns for e-peen enhancement.
