You can't enchant to 8x anyway.

Did he enchant it right there, or was it previous work. I guess I should have said without the proper potions or whatnot you cannot enchant beyond 7x anymore.

Unless they changed the enchanting system again, the highest possible bonus is +35. It won't let you temper a +32 project. Some sort of odd restriction within the system.

Those heavy steel shields are pretty old. I'm pretty sure that he enchanted that to 8x prior to the changes to the enchant spell.

Not to really hijack a thread but does anyone know if Celebrymor released those enchanting potions when his wagon was outside the Spitfire?

I got hung up on other things and didn't see it go down but I could've sworn I saw signs for the upper end potions.

He did. I think his wagon is still there, if you go in and read the tickets or whatever it will tell you who won.
