Scripted, you know the type, script list stolen from another post, mine is red fire. Also idle scripts (like ye olde foreheady gems). Fire can be given to others, etc.

a smooth black vaalin band inlaid with a faceted firestone flame

>rub band
As you rub the mithril band, a ball of bone white fire builds in your right hand.
(What happens when you try to summon fire without a free hand...)
>rub band
A faint immage of a ball of bone white flame surrounds the staff for just an instant before fading away.
>roll fire
You idly roll the opalescent fire around the palm of your right hand.
>clench fire
You clench the ball of white fire in your hand and watch as the ecru flames blaze through your closed fist.
>poke fire
You bring your left hand to the fire in your right hand and poke your finger at the ecru white surface and remove it unscathed.
>tap fire
You gingerly tap the surface of the bone ball of flame and withdraw a small quantity of liquid white flame. It slowly dwindles away before disappearing.
>lick fire
You stick your tongue out and casually lick the ivory flame, causing your mouth to glow a soft white color.
>raise fire
You raise the flaming white sphere above your head for all to see!
>toss fire
You toss your ball of white fire from your right hand into the air along an arcing path before catching it again in your left hand.
(And with two fireballs...)
>toss fire
You casually juggle your bone white fire and your bone white fire from hand to hand.
And ways to get rid of the fire...
>drop fire
As your move your hand to rid it of the opalescent ball of fire, the white flame drop to the ground and impacts with a water-like spash before vanishing.
>eat fire
Without hesitation, you raise the ball of white fire to your mouth and swallow, knowing full well that you can sever the flow of power at any time. As your jaw surrounds the white fire, you release your control and it winks out before burning you.
>dismiss fire
With a flick of your hand, you dismiss the flaming white ball.
>breathe fire
You blow a slow steady breath at the white fire in your hand and watch as the opalescent flames flutter out of existence before your eyes.
In addition, the fireballs spout off random scripts too. And, as you'll notice... the shade of the color is constantly shifting as you hold the fire.
Also, you can hand the fireballs off to other people and they can manipulate them in the same fashion. It's charged with any fire spell... so the charges are esentially
unlimited.

Can you please post the various shades this ring uses for red?

For example the white fireball ring uses opalescent, ivory, bone, ecru, and niveous. What do you get with red?

Easy way to find out is just to TAP the fireball a lot. You should get all five shades easily that way.

crimson vermilion vermeil scarlet garnet rubicund ruby cerise

Just to be randomly helpful...

With all of the new fire and lightning rings suddenly floating around, I haven't seen anybody mention this important little detail:

If you have one of each, the fire and lightning and interact with each other a little.

>glance
You glance down to see a ball of white fire in your right hand and a writhing white spark in your left hand.
>toss my spark
You launch your opalescent ball of flame into the air at the same time as your ivory cloud of electricity. They collide in the air in a shower of white fiery sparks that rain down on top of you.

Also, GAZE (at either variety) gives you a vague idea of how charged up the ring is. (Everybody's still using the capture of my ring from years ago, and I didn't figure out that little trick until sometime later!)

That interaction is nifty. Someone get a bunch and make a juggler for tsc, with one of those beggar's cups. I'd throw some silvers in it.
