Got some interest - but I'm going to take advice from CRBs other thread:
" ... Just don't do something stupid like accept a buyout from someone 10 minutes after you get it without checking the market."

It's hard to gauge market value on something like this seeing as it's the first of its kind (that I've heard of), but I imagine it would be worth the most to someone with the resources to really do something nice with it. I could see this being a worthy 10x PP enchant project, which is an awful lot of silver/cash, not to mention you'd want to get top tier orbs in it.

I disagree with the top tier orbs in it. Badges that end up with +5 mana recovery, +10 weapon skills and +5 stat bonus cost almost 100k to recharge. If you put 4 top tier orbs in it, it'll cost almost 200k to recharge.

What is to stop you from taking out the orbs and charging them separately?

No one said it would be cheap. You'd probably have to rotate.

Yah, you will be working for the weapon but still...
+weapon skill
+stamina recovery
+max stamina
+health recovery
Be pretty damn hot.

Going to change this to an auction format and let the market decide - as suggested by those wiser than me. Edited the initial post.

I thought it was established that weapon/shield items costs less to charge than their pin-worn counterparts (badges)?
How much does it cost to charge an orb compared to a comparable stat on a weapon or pin-worn?
fuck + weapon skill. Stats are better. Strength will boost your AS, but also your carrying capacity, etc, etc.
+ str
+ dex
+ agi
And still room for one more.

The system stops you E. Orbs are not chargable, only the fusion item is. And, if you remove an orb from a fusion item, you lose all your current charges. It's kind of like changing up the enhancives on your badge. You make changes, you lose all current charges and have to have it charged back up.

Ah, good point. Pity, as it would have been a nice loophole.

I think that is very situational on the cost vs benefit of stats vs skill.
If you are -4 AGI bonus from using a greatsword at some RT threshold, you are completely right. Or if you are a weak halfling a STR bonus would be very useful.
But as a general rule I would take the lesser recharge cost across the board for the +15 to weapon skill versus a +15 bonus to strength...
Just as I would take +10 dodge skill versus +10 Dex bonus. otherwise you are gimping the weapon by creating such a high upkeep cost.
My noncrumbly helm with +5 to OHE and +6 to INF stat (not bonus) = 11520 bps
My +4 Str bonus bracelet = 10800

It totally depends what you put in it. +weapon bonus and +stat bonus are both really cheap, as are certain +recoveries. My badge holds +10 ranged bonus, +5 DEX bonus and +10 stamina recovery and only costs 39600 to charge at the guild. On the other hand, mana and health recovery are both quite expensive.
Allow me to refer you to this handy thread: Enhancive Recharge Costs for AG Badge (http://forum.gsplayers.com/showthread.php?t=39905)

Holy smoly! Is this on Krakiipedia? Also... don't badges get a percentage reduction compared to normal enhancives?

Yes, badges are 1/3rd cheaper to charge than an equivalent non-badge pin-worn. Armor/weapons are slightly less to recharge than worn items, though.
The prices listed in that thread don't reflect actual costs of your enhancive recharging for that very reason. But it's a useful relative measure.
Recharge cost is relative, what is expensive for you may not be expensive for me.

No more awesome for a war mage then anyone else...don't see why fusion orbs would weight in a war mages favor. And if I missed the sarcasm? then I'll go hide in a corner and cry for a while.

Widowwood

~~ a waterstained journal page ~~
I have been successful in harvesting some rare widowwood, and I have returned not just with flowers to use in my next perfume, but a living shoot of the shrub itself. The journey through the swamps was as dangerous as legends tell, and as worth it. I brought back enough dead widowwood to craft the rose door my wife so wants, and if my botanical endeavors succeed, we can have a small grove of the elusive shrub in our garden, and I can corner the market on its scent.
-- Danekas --
OOC: Some of you may have noted an unusual wood in Scents of Death, and perhaps a new fragrance in one of the perfumes. I designed widowwood one day while in the shower (I get all my best ideas in weird places), and pestered others to read the idea and see if it would fly. They did. It did. And I am pleased to introduce you to widowwood!
Widowwood: Blue-black wood that can have a rose, purple, or crimson sheen to it depending on how it is cut and polished, the widowwood is a rare shrub. Possessing a sturdy trunk, its wood can be used for carving in small quantities. For example, one might build a door out of pieces of widowwood, or one might make small carvings, but one would never use it to build a house. The widowwood grows best in dim and dank swamps and that ilk. Silver-backed, deep green leaves cluster in sets of five along spindly branches. At the center of each leaf cluster, a tiny and lop-sided white flower will bloom, which in turn yields a pale blue berry. These tiny flowers and berries produce a beautiful scent, and this is where the widowwood gets its name. Men over the ages have died while seeking the scent to add to perfumes or to test for alchemical or healing properties, drowned in the quick bogs the shrub grows near, never to be seen again. The widowwood has only recently been rediscovered in some treacherous bogs past the Lake of Shadowed Sorrows, and small quantities have filtered into the more populous areas of Elanthia.
*IMPORTANT* *NOTE*: This wood is considered VERY rare, so you would have to supply the wood to get anything made with it, so no running around asking for alterations with the wood in it! Plus, this, as stated in the description above, is a decorative wood only. No weapons or other functional items would ever be made from it.
There is no widowwood for sale or released, so that means for now, this is just a neat new wood. The occasional statue or something may be released eventually, so keep an eye out to start collecting if it does happen! ;)

As far as things being made from it there have been a couple of auction quality items in 08/09 that had them, as referenced here the scent is found in several perfumes and there was one item that had widdowwood buttons and was sold off-the-shelf.

You can make a door out of it but not a bow...
Regardless, does it have any inate properties?

It doesn't look like it. I'd like to find some of the items with widowwood buttons though. I'd pay handsomely.
