Lately I've noticed a great increase in the number of younger players populating the lands of Elanthia (Well, in Icemule, anyways. I can't speak for all towns.) Now, few of these players can pull of not acting their age most of the time.. but there are MANY others who are so blatantly OOG and OOC... it's nausiating. Has anyone else noticed this? Or had a particularly bad incident with one of these... children?

It's the summer time, is it really that surprising?

True... but damn. That's why they invented those graphical games that are supposed to corrupt children's minds with violence and gore. And they can talk in that kid-talk stuff
"Wut r u doin?"
"Nuthin"
"o that cool"
"Ya"
"U want 2 go shoot some peeps? I have a lvl 100 i can pwn wit"
"Sure :)"

Well, we are turning into a point and click game, so it will make it easier and more user friendly to those types, according to our president.:)
I never quite understood the whole point and click in a text based game, or catering to people who don't type much!  I'm not the president of the company though, and I don't make the big bucks!
But then again, if it brings in more roleplayers! :saint:
Yeah, but I suppose it will make inventory easier, or something. I did some testing in the new game, that wasn't the best part. I think the best part is the new Justice system.

.
More idiots, or a larger ratio due to the more intelligent player base leaving?

Tayre, is this thread an attempt to distinguish your self as mature for your age?
Fine. You're young. You will not be seen as more mature by bashing on people your own age to make a point that you are "Special".
I think everyone and everyone they tell, Crackstone is run by a bunch of pricks, so they have heard. Now everyone is avoiding it.

It wasn't just that it didn't make any sense, it's also because you used "fucking fag" every 3 words. I think everyone knows what you think of the GM's, you don't have to repeat it over and over again.

I'm an adult, legally. They are not my own age. The people I was referring to are the ones near Warclaidhm's age.
I can't think straight tonight, if anyone caught this post before I edited it.

I have to say.. if I was so fed up with a game that I quit it... I CERTAINLY wouldn't be trolling their message boards or any message boards about the game.
Esh.. let it go man. Move on.
I used to play Inferno.. when I quit the game.. I didn't cry, bitch, moan, yell, swear or anything else on their message board. I simply left.
Why is Gemstone such a huge part in people's lives that when they quit.. they never truly quit?

I really think it's some sort of psychological addiction similar to smoking, and there may even be a physical part to it since we are sitting in front of the computer spending so many hours. However, unlike smoking, the players actually have time INVESTED in the game, and their own persona. So in essence, it creates a separate world people get attatched to just like a life away from their normal one. Getting rid of that life would be like killing a part of yourself. Just my theory.

A theory I agree with mostly.
