Lost a shield during a rescue gone awry. An Ithzir scout seems to have picked up the shield. :(


If anyone finds it, please look me up in game or send an IM to sunrunner8

The solution to losing weapons in OTF and pretty much any other issue in GSIV is to be a bard.

Doesn't quite help the issue of looking like a tard as you run around singing at things. Other than that, you're golden.

Yep. They will take weapons of all kind, including from your hands, shields, magical objects, and silver.

If by "singing at," you mean "skull fucking," then yes, you are correct. Bards fucking own.

I've lost count of the shields they've lifted from me over the years hence I only ever tend to use off-the-shelf 4x.

I've had similar experiences with a 7x longbow of mine. You can try to petition a GM to help you see if another character picked it up or if the scout despawned and the shield is now back in the system. If a character snagged it, I don't know if they can tell you who. If it's back in the loot system, you have a chance to get it back, it kinda depends on the GM. Emeredan won't give it back. If you have the item registered, they might be able to track it down and return it. Note: even with a description of the shield, knowing the properties, etc. they might not be able to return it.
