I'm wondering, I know to use purify before getting my weapon blessed and to keep mantle up at all times, but as I'm looking to the future what spells may I overlook that I should keep on me at all times, Pious (1603) seems pretty useless for me at the moment, since I never cast in combat I only cast for my spell-ups and if my armor is such a big issue i can remove to cast. Might there be some utility spells I could foresee sleeping on, and what are some of our big spells (I am THW i think we have a shield spell out there somewhere)

Constructive criticism for a new paladin learning is a big plus, I don't need the WTF nub responses, since I'm fully aware of my complete lack of comprehension of the paladin profession.

Thanks in advance!

1605 - increases DF (raw damage). Non-stackable so cast it before your hunt.
1606 - +10 AS and helps with fear
1610 - +10 DS with +1 extra DS for every two spells, 20 DS max
1611 - +10 CMAN (+5 AS)
1616 - +4 CON and 8 health, increases with spell training
1618 - +15 DS

Depending on your training, you might want 1609 or 1617, but you can't cast them together. I'd suggest taking a look at the paladin spell list. (http://www.play.net/gs4/info/spells/spelllist.asp?circle=13) Eventually you'll want to get some lore training in. Also, picking up 103 and 107 should be a goal before too long. The extra DS and TD is nice for so few ranks.

Got a pocket empath for the 100's tree and 200's tree, but I'll take a look at them. Thanks a bunch!

My standard is to run 1601, 1605, 1606, 1610, 1611, 1612, 1616, and 1618 on the paladin side. If I am someplace that dispells, I often also add 1613 just in the hopes it gets taken first.

For the armor hindrance for spellups, natural sancts and tables often give zero while there. You can probably avoid 1612 if you are no using 1615 or 1630 for anything.

Oh never thought of using a dump spell for the hopes of it being dispelled, I'm sure thats way in the future but its still good advice to heed early, thanks!

104, 105, 112, and 115 also make great dispel fodder, and are available to Paladins.

ah the resists and the 112 and 115 escape me, but yeah I'll make sure to throw those on, is there a mechanic that generates what is dispelled first (like the last cast spell will be dispelled first or first cast goes first) or is it purely a random generated dispel?

keeping 101 or 1601 up and uncast is helpful as well. Prep them when critter arrives but dont cast. This spell will be sucke up first. Of course this won't work if you cast 1615 and 1630 frequently.

duly noted, thanks for the heads up =)
