Not sure what's up with this instrument, first time it sung to has a loresong then when sung to a 2nd time it begins to give a generic response each time tested between 2 bards.

>loresing theorbo tell me what you say;whats yer value if you may
You sing:

"Theorbo tell me what you say
Whats yer value if you may"

As you sing to the theorbo, you receive a faint impression of the smell of simmering herbs, but you can untangle no real meaning with your magic.

Roundtime: 7 sec.

R>loresing theorbo made to make me cry;whats your purpose don't you lie
You sing:

"Theorbo made to make me cry
Whats your purpose don't you lie"

The sound of thundering hoofbeats swirls around you in response to your song.

Roundtime: 8 sec.

R>loresing theorbo looks so facinating to me;tell me what yer magic be
You sing:

"Theorbo looks so facinating to me
Tell me what yer magic be"

Briefly, you hear measured theorbo music, but then it is gone.

Roundtime: 8 sec.

R>loresing theorbo makes me wonder so;tell what yer ability knows
[script done]
You sing:

"Theorbo makes me wonder so
Tell what yer ability knows"

The image of a deciduous forest materializes briefly before you, but it fades without vouchsafing any information.

Roundtime: 7 sec.

R>.lore theorbo
[Script lore is running, Esc to cancel, Shift-Esc to pause]
>loresing theorbo tell me what you say;whats yer value if you may
You sing:

"Theorbo tell me what you say
Whats yer value if you may"

You sing to the theorbo, but receive only the normal harmonies of silver maple in return. You sense that no one could have learned more about the instrument's history than you learned. The harmonies fade as you finish your verse.

Roundtime: 7 sec.

R>loresing theorbo made to make me cry;whats your purpose don't you lie
You sing:

"Theorbo made to make me cry
Whats your purpose don't you lie"

Your song waxes and wanes, but the vibrations yield only a quick, meaningless scattering of sensory impressions to you, all of which come too quickly and fade too swiftly to be identified.

Roundtime: 8 sec.

One of the random EG generator ones. They're often linked to gender or race, or both.

Anyway to tell one way or other?

It's a pointless loresong unfortunately, though I think you can message the room with the smells and sounds when you sing it. Whatever bard gave you the first results has the right qualities for the instrument.
