Also on another extremely off topic, I was wondering, can you volunteer at an orphanage? I don't know why I'm so curious (was watching the 20/20 special about adoption) and I just sort of wanted to volunteer there.... anyone have any idea?

What I would do, Leloo, is find out if there is an orphanage near you. Then, call them and ask if there is anything for which you can volunteer. I am sure they would be happy to tell you of any volunteer positions available. :)

I used to volunteer at an orphanage here in St. Louis and it's definitely one of the best things you can do.

Make sure you check the place out with the other volunteers before you join because there's a high rate of staff abusing kids either physically or sexually in orphanages. Don't just go off of size or number of volunteers because the most well known in my hometown happens to have a lot of abuse problems.

You of course want to help those kids even more than the others, but if the staff catches on they tend to make things even worse for the kids, and they generally shut you out once you've noticed what goes on there, as well.

Just a heads up so you're aware of what to look for. Good luck.

Just make sure when you call them you say "Oh, and just so you know I'm not a kid toucher"

And say it exactly like that.
