Other than providing points for CMAN skills, does training in combat maneuvers provide any additional aid to AS, defense etc for an archer?

This skill seems expensive to train in as a ranger with the limited cman s available. It looks like a better option to dump the points in dodge or other skills.

What are your thoughts?

It's good for defending against the cmans you're training it. That's it. If you snipe, SM is good.

Hmmm, being primarily an open shooter, I think I will shift my points to other skills. I should get a wee more bang for the buck with dodge or.... I'll find something. =) Thanks for the information.

I think the disarm CM is a good investment as well to be honest. I know the arrow will get disarmed first, however, after you fire, you are open for a time.

Can Quickstrike or Truehand be used with ranged or will it use the bow as a weapon instead of firing?

Neither can be used. CM also provides some protection from creature maneuvers.
